Inside the helicopter, the atmosphere was strangely calm for a kidnapping.
Sienna sat rigidly on the leather seat, her fingers clenched tightly against her knees as black and red rose petals still clung stubbornly to her clothes and hair. Her breathing had steadied slightly since the courthouse chaos, but confusion and fear still swirled violently inside her head.
Across from her, the armed men finally removed their balaclavas one after another.
They were all young and looked disciplined; they didn't look like criminals nor did they look like mercenaries.
The moment the last mask dropped, every single one of them lowered their heads deeply toward her in perfect synchronization.
"We sincerely apologize for frightening you, Miss Rivers," the man closest to her said respectfully. "But circumstances forced us to act quickly."
Sienna stared at them in disbelief. "You kidnapped me!" she said.
The man gave an awkward cough. "Relocated you."
"That is literally kidnapping."
