Arc 3 chapter 46
The battle between Sion and Lazark vs Lik have come to round 2 and this time a lot was at stake as the safety of the people behind Sion and Lazark was in their hands as they face an enemy who wouldn't hesitate to kill them all in one go.
Lazark's wife led the rest of the group far away from the battle since none of them wouldn't survive a single shockwave of this battle.
After the people ran to safety, the three fighters were in a stalemate as in to see who will make the first move. Sion summoned his white gear again to boost his attributes and abilities and also his staff while Lazark only summoned his staff which was meant for healing magic rather than combat, but Lazark's control in the wind and light elements could make up for his combat abilities.
Without much of a signal, the atmosphere drastically changed and the ground beneath them broke down at the presence of their aura release and Sion charged straight at Lik in a blink of an eye while Lazark himself got from behind Lik, they both attempted to attack Lik from different sides but Lik easily slipped away from the two attacks and used Universal Frames to counter both of them with [tornado clash] by combining two tornadoes to mix Sion and Lazark up in one big tornado.
Sion quickly slipped away using [super speed] before he got swept up by the current and Lazark used a barrier to nullify any damage he would take until the tornado dissappeared.
Lazark: I'm not done yet! [rapid wind blades]
Lazark unleashed a fury of wind blades that flew straight to Lik, but as expected Lik dodged them easily but Sion moved along with the wind blades and used his mana to combine his wind element with the blades and absorbed them to create an [Ultimate: wind blade].
Sion: deep mana control is awesome!
A gigantic wind blade that covered the whole place in the small underground area went straight for Lik as he used his aura to protect himself from the slashing attack coming his way.
The slash collided with Lik but he was not damaged much, though he did feel the impact a little. In an underground place which was built like a tunnel, Lik couldn't go anywhere except take the hit. A smart strategy but not enough to win or defeat Lik.
Sion: impossible! I thought he was supposed to be D rank.
Lazark: even though he may not look like it but Lik is a Defender unit who uses daggers for battle.
Sion: that explains a lot. Anyways watch out he's coming!
Lik quickly closed the distance between them and kicked Sion straight to the gut, but Sion quickly brushed it off and applied mana to his hand and attempted to attack Lik on the face, which Lik dodged but took a damage from his left cheek like he was punched by a third person who wasn't there. Lik quickly made distance from them to process what just happened.
Lik: what the fuck?
Sion: it looks you can't control things you can't see.
Lik:.... Deep mana control?! At such a young age too! Even I'm not there yet! That Alga... How much more is he going to give you humans!
Sion: still looking down on us now?
Lik: maybe not you... I'm done holding back! (enters a state of aura burst) Sion is your name right?
Sion:... Yeah?
Lik: then be the first human to ever make this elf feel like turning you into a bloody mess!
Sion: geez are all nobles in this city... Creeps?
Lazark:... I swear it's just him... Or possibly Gaari as well.
Sion: dammit... It looks like we're gonna have to do the thing early than we thought.
Lazark: but I'm not prepared.
Sion: we can't afford to go full power here! A lot of lives are at stake!
Lazark hesitated and clenched his fist and a little moment of sadness passed through his face before coming to a decision that might affect him very mentally and emotionally than anyone can ever hope to know.
Lazark:... Every time I die... I can feel the pain and feelings of that clone until it's last breath... I'm afraid of that pain, it haunts me every time... It hurts so bad... (tearing up) I don't mean for you to see me like, this but Sion... Please... Don't waste this. I beg of you...
Sion:... (clenches his fist) I won't... I promise.
Sion's eyes had a terrifying look on them as Lik charged straight at them with Universal Frames fully active and ready, Sion leaped out of the way and Lazark confronted Lik head on while covering himself with wind energy to make Lik's vision blurry, but Lik did not lose focus as he knew Sion's attack would be coming anytime now....
Sion's attack did come... But it did not come from behind Lik or to his left or his right... No... Sion's attack came straight from the front and Lik couldn't see him or even feel him for that matter since he was in stealth mode and the only thing that was mana active was his hand which he used the mana bieng emitted by Lazark to strengthen his hand using deep mana control and shoved his straight through Lazark's head.
Lazark's head exploded right in front of Lik as Sion's hand went through it and was now heading for Lik's face next and Lik... He couldn't react in time for the bizarre plan that just unfolded right in front of him...
Lik: wai—
Splat!!! Without hesitation, Sion immediately crushed Lik's head like a free falling watermelon from high above, making Lik dead for real this time. Sion burned Lik's body with [giant fire ball] just to make sure he doesn't pull another bulshit Universal Frames buff.
Lazark's wife came from deep underground to check on the conclusion of the battle after silence has now taken over the battle ground. Just before Sion could respond to her, he collapsed on the ground, making Lazark's wife come rushing to his aid quickly,
Sion: it looks... Like I'm not used... To deep mana control yet... (his consciousness faded)
At the church of Fujan the elven God of thunder storms located within Lotus city's central district was the last Lazark who just fell down on his knees and started vomiting as Gaari who was right in front of him just stood there and watched.
Lazark: blugh!!!
Gaari: damn... I guess the other one just died huh? Brutally too.
Lazark: ugh... Shit... The kid didn't have to be so rough. But it was worth it. At least for the people.
Gaari: here we go with the heroic bulshit! That's why you're not gonna live long director.
Lazark: what makes you so sure?
Gaari: cuz it's about time I put you out of your misery.
Lazark: well before we start dancing, maybe it's time you knew the last condition of my ability...
Gaari: do you really wanna reveal your cards to your enemy?
Lazark: yeah, probably because it won't help you. When I lose all of the other me's and only one left, well the remaining will gain the abilities and experience of all the others who died including their mana as well.
Gaari: don't tell me...
Lazark: yes.. Not only did killing me the others decreased my numbers, but it also made me stronger. And you'll call me Omega Lazark!
Gaari:... (I did not see this coming!)
