—ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES LATER —
Everyone was already settled in the class, the teacher already teaching, Brittany walked in, still a mess, but she didn't come alone, behind her was her dad, Mr Griffins , looking so intimidating and tall.
"Who the hell dared touch my princess," he asked, his voice so loud.
The whole class shivered including the teacher.
"I did," Maya stood up, unbothered, unfazed,
Whispers
"She's something else,"
"She's so bold,"
"Does she know who Mr Griffins is?"
"I bet this is her last day here,"
Some even stared at her with pity.
Mr Griffins walked up to her and looked at her from head to toe, like she was a worthless piece of trash in front of him.
"A lowly scholarship student?" He said ,
"Can someone talk to me without mentioning me being a scholarship student like it's a disease," Maya muttered, but audible enough for everyone to hear.
"She just talked back at Mr Griffins,"
"Her guts is irritating,"
"She's leaving this school, there's no two ways about it,"
"Wow you seem to like talking back huh?" Mr Griffins asked as he raised his hand to slap her,
Molly was about interrupting but Maya was faster, she caught his hand mid-air, "Don't you try that sir, no one hits me, not even my mum, so you don't have the right to," she said throwing his hand down aggressively
Mr Griffins almost lost his balance but he was quick to hold on.
"You lowlife, and you dare hit my daughter," He growled
"Ahhh that, she ordered, I delivered," Maya replied bluntly,
"Someone get the principal for me!" He barked and a student ran out to call the principal.
"The end,"
"I was beginning to like her, too bad she wouldn't last,"
Brittany smirked, arms crossed around her chest, feeling on top of the world, finally, she thought.
The class was still and Maya was surprisingly calm, too calm.
The principal rushed in, almost tripping," Y..You are here sir, you… called for me," he shuttered
"It seems you are tired of your position here, a lowlife scholarship student touched my princess and is still in this school," he yelled
"What… who dared lay a finger on Brittany?" The principal asked, shaking.
Brittany pointed at Maya, "she did this to me and slapped me," she said, feigning innocence.
"Pack your things, your scholarship has been terminated, leave," the principal barked pointing towards the door.
"You don't have to yell, hypertension is real tho, we'll I already packed my things, so outta the way," Maya said as she picked up her cross bag, Brittany smiled victoriously
"She isn't going anywhere," Molly finally talked.
"And who asked for your opinion?" Mr Griffins asked, hatered visible on his face.
Molly's dad was way richer than Mr Griffins and they have been rivals, truthfully, only Mr Griffins was keeping up rivalry, they were all friends, Mr Kingston, Mr Brown and Mr Griffins, but Me Griffins started getting jealous cause the others were richer than he was, but he tried to keep his friendship with Mr Kingston so he could feel superior to Mr Brown, he hated Mr Brown completely.
"You don't want me to involve my dad, do you?" She asked, directing her question to the principal .
"No, no, please don't make things worse, don't call Mr Brown, she can stay," the principal rushed his words
"Are you kidding, she stays, you lose your job," Mr Griff threatened,
Molly sighed as she brought out her phone, dialing her dad's number, on the second ring, he picked up, she put the phone on speaker, so everyone would hear.
"Hey baby, what's up? Aren't you supposed to be in your school hours? Why are you calling," Mr Brown's voice came, rich, calm.
"She actually called him,"
"If Mr Brown gets involved…"
"Maya is staying for sure,"
"Dad my friend is being treated unfairly," she said pouting like he was present,
"Your friend? Molly you don't have any friends," Mr Brown said,
"We'll I just made one yesterday, and she's being mistreated and they are trying to expel her wrongly," Molly said,
"What do you want baby?" He asked
"I want you to come to school," she said
"On my way baby, make sure you hold on to her, I'll be there in a jiffy," he said and the call ended.
Molly flipped her hair and walked up to Maya.
—A FEW MINUTES LATER—
Mr Brown walked in, he looked supremely young, hot and tall, compared to Mr Griffins.
"Pap!a" Molly called as she ran to hug him.
"My princess," he said hugging her back," where is your friend?" He asked,
"Here," Molly pointed to Maya.
"Good day sir," Maya greeted blankly,
"Good day," he replied with a smile," what happened?" He asked referring to Molly.
Molly explained everything to him, not leaving a thing out.
"So became she is a scholarship student, you want to pervert justice?" He said, turning to the principal .
"No sir, Uhmm… I was just following Mr Griffins orders," he said shaking, almost peeing on himself.
"You can't just walk in here and start giving orders, this thing touched my daughter," Mr Griffins yelled .
"And your daughter deserved it," Me Brown answered calmly,
"So if it was your daughter that was hit, will you still say this same trash?" Mr Griffins asked .
"Firstly, Molly wouldn't bully someone, and if she ever does and this happens, then I would even punish her on it," Mr Brown said .
"That's you, this thing is getting expelled," Mr Griffins said,
"You expel her, I withdraw my shares in the school and I'll also withdraw Molly from this school, I'm sure you don't want that," Mr Brown said calmly
"No, no sir, don't do that sir, she stays," the principal said,
"What?" Mr Griffins asked shocked,
"I'm sorry Mr Griffins , but she stays," the principal said .
"Ohh so you prefer me withdrawing my shares ?" He asked .
"I'm sorry sir, but she stays," the principal repeated and walked away.
"You're choosing him over me?"Mr Griffins asked, stunned.
"I'm choosing what keeps this school standing," the principal replied weakly.
Mr Griffins also walked out looking defeated and Brittany stormed out , stumping her foot on the floor.
Mr Brown walked out with Molly and Maya behind him.
The class related a breath they never realized they were holding.
"Mr Brown is so hot, I don't mind dating him,"
"That was epic,"
"I really love and respect Mr Brown, the Browns as a whole,"
"Maya stays… whoa,"
—PARKING LOT—
Mr Brown got into his car," Thanks daddy," Molly said excitedly hugging him.
"You don't have to thank me, I just did the right thing," he replied,
"Thank you Mr Brown," Maya said, letting out a soft smile
"It's nothing, you know you are the first friend Molly has ever made and so I'll do anything to protect you, as long as you are right, you are already like a daughter to me, and I weirdly like you," he said smiling
"Thanks sir, bye," Maya said
They both waved as Mr Brown drove out.
"Thanks girl," Maya said.
"That's what friends do," Molly said and they hugged.
"Wait do you were really gonna leave me?" Molly asked frowning a little bit
"Never, I knew you'd do something," Maya replied.
