Every single step was a struggle, and Noel wasn't helping by dragging me along by my arm like a piece of luggage.
I stumbled again, my chest knocking into his back.
His patience snapped. I heard him let out this sharp, annoyed breath, and his hand instantly shot back, grabbing my upper arm so hard it pinched.
"For God's sake…" He exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. "Are you serious right now?"
I tried to steady myself, blinking at the blurry outline of him. "I'm fine…"
"You're not even close to fine."
"I said I'm…"
He bent down, then suddenly….I wasn't walking anymore.
Suddenly, the ground was gone.
My stomach dropped, as I let out a weak gasp as he lifted me up, tossing me over his shoulder before shifting me onto his back. It took him all of two seconds as if I weighed nothing
"Hey! Put me down," I yelled, but my arms were already dangling over his shoulders. I didn't have the energy to fight him.
