Chapter 1 - Reincarnation

"Jake, Jake, wake up"

With a feeling of drowsiness, Jake could hear someone calling him.

"Hmmm?"

He slowly woke up and took a look at his surroundings.

He seemed to be in some backyard, sprawled on the ground.

His face felt like it was splitting, as if someone had punched him square in the face.

In front of him, there was a white middle-aged couple in their early 30s, concerned plastered on their face.

His first thought was being kidnapped.

But since he was in the open and these people gave him a familiar feeling, he quickly dropped the thought.

Giving them another look, what stood out about them to Jake, was their massive height, while Jake himself wasn't particularly tall at, 181 cm (5'11), the couple in front of him was at least 30 cm (1 foot) taller than him.

"Jake is everything okay? How do you feel?"

Seeing Jake unresponsive for some time, Alan asked with worry.

"Alan we need a doctor!"

Said Judith, equally worried about her son.

"I AM a doctor" replied Alan semi-offended

"It's not the time for your stupid jokes, Alan!!" Judith seemed exasperated at her husband's mention of being a doctor.

What the hell, I was just on my computer, when it exploded, and now I'm here? Jake tried his hardest to guess how he ended up in this situation, to no avail.

"Perdón, ¿dónde estoy?" (I'm sorry where am I?)

Realizing the couple was about to fight, Jake tried to get their attention and hopefully get to know where he was.

"Oh my god you turned him MEXICAN!" exclaimed Judith

"Perdon?" (Excuse me?)

"Judith, just stay quiet, ehmmm, ¿recuerdas dónde estás?" (Do you remember where you are?) Alan trying to hold his panic communicated with his son in Spanish with a heavy American accent.

"No, no me acuerdo"

"What did he say" asked Judith

"He says he doesn't remember, go get the car, we'll go to the hospital"

Judith started to run to the car.

Jake, was suddenly carried by a giant man, and put in the back of his giant car, before starting to drive.

He thought of resisting, but seeing the way he was being carried with ease, he opted out of it.

Maybe he could escape through the back door and make a run for it.

But he perished that thought the moment he started looking to the window, he could see a row of giant prefabricated houses.

Is this the United States, how did I end up here from Argentina?.

Trying to make sense of what was happening, Jake stared at his small hand and realized that nothing around him was gigantic, he was just tiny.

In less than 20 minutes the Harper family arrived at the hospital.

While Alan was busy explaining everything that happened to the doctor

Jake finally pieced everything together.

Jake Harper 9 years old, while Alan was pulling weeds out of his garden, Jake seemed to have sneaked up behind him, and when Alan abruptly pulled out the weed, Jake took an elbow to his face, knocking him out.

The doctors quickly checked him out and took him to the MRI machine.

...

After a few hours

An older white male doctor, was reading a folder with attention in his office in front of Jake's parents.

The doctor closed the folder and looked up at the two exhausted adults sitting across from him.

"Your son, had a concussion. We ran a CT scan to rule out anything serious. The scans are clean — no bleeding, no fractures. Neurologically, he's responsive and moving all his limbs. Pupils are equal and reactive. We didn't find anything that requires surgery, that said, we'd like it if he received inpatient care for the next 24 hours, just in case."

A small relieved sigh could not help but escape from both Judith and Alan.

"Of course, whatever you say doctor, but what about his Spanish?, he never spoke Spanish before" Judith asked with less worry and more curiosity

"Well, it's unusual, but not necessarily alarming. Concussions can temporarily affect language processing. Sometimes patients repeat words or phrases from languages they've heard before. The brain is essentially rebooting."

"My kid's brain is rebooting in Spanish?" Asked Alan.

"For the moment, apparently so"

...

Jake, lying in a hospital bed, with a sudden rush of information from his brain, finally remembered all of Jake Harper's memories.

Memories collided in his mind: an adult life, years of work, the moment of death, and now this room, this body, this childhood he remembered.

And that's when recognition hit him

like a second concussion.

Alan Harper.

Judith Harper.

Not similar. Not lookalikes.

Exactly them.

From the show.

From Two and a Half Men.

Realizing this Jake had an unbelievable feeling.

"Oh man"
