Veronica's POV
Pearl River Hospital - same time
"Why don't we keep on the topic?" the representative said.
"You claim to be Mrs. Rollings," he said.
"Can you prove this?"
"Prove?" she said as she unzipped her purse and removed a folded document.
"Of course I have proof of my marriage."
She placed the marriage certificate on the bedside table.
Jonathan looked at me as I exchanged gaze with him and the certificate.
We didn't react.
The representative picked the certificate and began to examine it as Imelda stood with arms folded.
"As you can see my husband's name is Jonathan Rollings, and his wife's name is Imelda Rollings, that's me."
I felt a brief chill in my body as I realized this wasn't just an accusation. She came prepared the same way she did back then.
I noticed the representative removed a magnifying glass to check the seals.
"Let me take a deeper look into this,"
He checked the names, date of issue, registration number, and the issuing authority's signature.
