Veronica's POV
Pearl River Hospital
I woke up slowly as I felt my body was heavier than a log.
My throat was dry and I was feeling awfully weak, and my head was still feeling heavy.
"Mrs Rollings?" The nurse softly held my shoulder as she saw me awoke.
"Slowly, you're safe. Don't try to sit up for now."
I tried to speak up, but I felt as if my voice was not coming out.
The nurse adjusted my pillow, and was handing me a glass of water.
"Relax. You're safe now."
I closed my eyes for a brief moment and saw Jonathan cutting through the smoke.
"JONATHAN!" I screamed out.
"What's the matter?" the nurse asked.
"Did you recall something?"
"Fire…smoke….I tripped…I saw…I think I saw Jonathan running towards me…"
"He hugged me…I know he did."
"Mr Rollings went in back for you," the nurse said, softly.
"Back inside?"
"Yes," the nurse said.
"Accordingly, he was already out safely when he heard you were still inside,"
"So, he ran back inside and got you out."
