Grand Del Hotel - Private room
I arrived with John, Vance and Daniel for a private meeting with the council members.
On entering, I noticed apart from the council members, there was a new face as well.
And this time Alex's lawyers weren't here, so this meant this meeting is really a private one.
Thankfully I didn't bring Veronica and Isabella with me.
"Mr. Rollings," the council chair said.
"The reason we called you and your friends today, is to talk about the River inheritance,"
I immediately felt the weight of responsibility fall on my shoulders.
Until the day I found out about the River family connection, I never thought much of them when I used to hear their name.
Now an entire council was seated regarding the River inheritance for me.
The clank of the door made me realize how grave the matter is.
The new face stood up.
"Mr. Rollings, I'm the River representative and am going to be handing the River inheritance to you,"
"Of course," he said.
