An Apartment
"VERONICA!" Again another night, I woke up screaming.
"It's okay," I heard Smith's soft voice calming me.
"Don't worry, we'll find her soon,"
"Relax."
I opened my eyes and saw Smith's worried look.
We all are orphans, the reason we got chosen to protect the Rollings family.
But maybe even Smith may not know this, but he's like the big brother God never gave us by blood.
"Smith," I said, grabbing his hand.
"That woman…she's not Veronica,"
"Veronica is still in their capture,"
Smith listened to me without interrupting me.
"Ann, please tell whatever you can remember,"
"I was told to not tell as Veronica can be in danger,"
"But I'm afraid if I keep quiet, she may lose her family forever,"
"Do you know where she is?"
I recalled the convoy that blacked our car that day and the route they took after kidnapping us.
"She was pushed into the car before me, and they drove off,"
"I was pushed into the other car,"
