Daniel Staf's POV
Harmon Mansion
I went to check on Imelda over.
She greeted me with a warm smile.
"Can you sit beside me?"
Her comfort level was unsettling me.
"Don't worry, I really don't remember a thing,"
"I'm only asking as a friend,"
"For someone you don't remember," I said, glancing at her.
"You really seem to be comfortable,"
She looked down as if she was offended.
"But we were together once, we even have a son, you yourself said."
I was actually feeling guilty at the same time I was questioning her inside of me.
"I have forgotten what or where, but not your touch….the one that made me feel safe."
"Your touch, it feels familiar, I don't recognize your face, but your feel…I do."
I exhaled as we once shared a very complicated relationship, and now her innocent words were awakening feelings I had buried deep inside of my heart.
I shook my head.
"No, Isabella is my wife and I have a daughter with her." I reminded myself.
