SF Chapter 40: Hungover
The next day, Daniel woke up hungover.
"Hmm, noice," he muttered, realizing he was sleeping on top of a pair of breasts. He took advantage of it and gave a little nibble to her nipples.
Penny woke up too. "Oh my God, my head is exploding…" she complained.
"Yeah, what a brutal hangover." He shifted closer, resting a hand on her waist. They were both completely naked.
"And you did me again, huh," he smirked.
She ran a hand through his hair. "If I remember correctly, you were the one making the booty call."
He mocked, "and you came as fast as you could, saying, 'Damn you, you rat bastard! You turned me into a groupie!'"
"Shut up, Dani!" she scolded him, but kept stroking his hair.
"You two are loud - especially you, Penny." A girl appeared from the main bathroom of Daniel's room.
"Hey," Daniel turned to greet the girl. "Uh…" he tried to remember her name.
"Alexandra Daddario," she introduced herself again. "And could you please-" she gestured, since his member was still out.
"Oh." He glanced down. "In my defense, you're in my room." He replied and casually put on a pair of boxers.
"I know. I'm not faulting you," Daddario dismissed. "I just came in here because your nephew's bathroom is a bit…"
"I get it. Jake can be a slob..."
[Alexandra and Penny Commentary]
"I met Alexandra at an acting workshop," Penny revealed, sitting on her couch. "She already did a soap opera, All My Children."
Alexandra also commented, "You did a movie, and now you're a TV host."
The two smiled at each other.
She continued, "So yesterday Penny invited me to celebrate her new job. We got pretty drunk, and she ended up convincing me to go to another bar…"
She turned her head toward her friend. "…in Malibu."
"In my defense," she raised a finger, "Dani's brother is a charmer."
"Nope, too old for me… I don't have daddy issues," Alexandra stated flatly.
[Commentary ends]
Daniel got up and grabbed some water from the mini fridge for himself and Penny, along with a few pills. Then he joked, "Hey, Alexandra, you saw me naked and not even a 'whoa'?"
She rolled her eyes and shouted back, "I've seen way bigger…"
Daniel made an exaggerated gasp and pointed at her. "Friendship over! Did you hear me? FRIENDSHIP over!"
But then he gave her a slow look, from head to toe. "I'm joking - how about joining us?" He pointed toward the bed. She was gorgeous.
Penny groaned and threw a pillow at him. Then she put some clothes on.
Alexandra raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "So that's why there's that saying about never meeting the people you admire…"
She picked up one of the books lying on the desk in his room. "I love your Percy Jackson book. Especially…"
"…Clarisse La Rue," she revealed.
"Huh??"
[Daniel commentary]
Daniel was sitting on the bed when he started explaining. "Clarisse La Rue is one of the characters in my book, initially introduced as an antagonist. She is the daughter of Ares."
He went on, "She's rough, competitive, aggressive, and bossy." He put a hand on his chin. "For some reason, my Sis got really angry when she read my Percy books…"
He glanced around. "I know it's kind of mean, but I might have based Clarisse… on my cousin Monica. I mean, physically."
"The name and the temperament make it pretty obvious who she's based on."
[Commentary ends]
Daddario continued, "Obviously, I like Annabeth too."
"Lexi, how are you so okay?" Penny chimed in, still sprawled across the bed after taking something for her hangover. "I don't even remember half of last night…"
"Well, I woke up earlier," her friend explained. "And there's not much to it. We went to Pavlov, the bar closed around 2 a.m., we were even more drunk because of the tequila."
"We took a taxi here, on Daniel's idea. We came into the room through that door," she pointed.
"Went to the kitchen to grab some wine glasses. I ended up going to the bathroom there. When I came back to this room, you two were already having sex."
She finished, "Thankfully, Daniel showed me the bedroom where I could sleep beforehand."
"Oh, Lexi, sorry, I was such a bad friend," Penny apologized.
But Dani laughed. "Huh, another one walking in on me. Geez, people need to learn how to knock!"
"You should learn from Sheldon, Penny's neighbor. He has a systematic way of knocking three times, every single time, no matter where he is."
Alexandra stared at him for a moment, but decided not to say anything to this shameless bastard. She turned to her friend. "Ready, Penny?"
Penny groaned, but got up and agreed.
He wrapped his arms around her. "It was an incredible Saturday. Next time, come back and enjoy the beach."
Penny smiled and hugged him back.
"You too, Miss Alexandra," he winked.

After Alexandra and Penny left, Daniel headed toward the living room, but noticed his two brothers sitting out on the deck.
Before he could join them, a woman came down the stairs.
"Nora, right?" Daniel asked. "If I remember correctly, you said you didn't do anything with 'Charles'," he raised an eyebrow.
"I didn't," she agreed, "but your other brother bailed out because of his gay wife…" she scoffed.
"So I had no choice," Nora shrugged and walked toward the door without any embarrassment.
Before leaving, she added, "Tell Charlie and Alan that I might use them as inspiration in my next book." And then she left.
"Huh," Daniel paused for a moment processing what she said, and he headed out to the deck.
"Good morning, my good bros!"
Charlie stirred and covered his face with his hand. "God. Close the drapes," he complained.
Alan woke up right after that.
Leaning against the deck railing, Daniel asked, "So, what happened to you two last night?"
"Your girl's friend was too young. Eighteen," Charlie said grumpily. Then he grinned. "Alan started whining, so I had to take care of Nora."
"I'm still married," Alan stated, listening to his two brothers.
Daniel looked at him like he was a complete idiot. "Anyway, are you guys going to the family dinner tonight? At Dad's place?"
"Not a chance," Charlie uttered, getting up and heading to his bedroom.
"I'm not going either…" Alan muttered.
[Daniel and Charlie commentary]
"How come you slept outside? After getting laid with Nora?" Daniel turned to his brother.
Charlie started telling the story. "The three of us took a taxi and came back here."
"Alan started going on about how he was married. And he had the brilliant idea of taking a taxi to Judith's place."
"So I took care of Nora. After a while, I went downstairs and saw Alan on the deck. I kept him company, drinking a few more beers together." He finished.
