"Comrades? You're still talking about comrades? Damn noblewoman," Klaus sneered as he grabbed her hair.
"Senior Klaus..."
A tri-colored light blade suddenly slashed forward, forcing Klaus to release her.
"So a rat managed to sneak in. Humans, accept our wrath!"
Cedric stepped forward, his expression turning cold. "Wrath? Are you sure you're ready to face mine?"
His eyes darkened.
Mimosa was already someone he had claimed in his mind. Seeing her like this stirred something far more dangerous than anger.
On another battlefield, Asta and the others were completely outmatched by the elves.
There were simply too many of them.
Even after Mereoleona, despite her injuries, managed to take down several enemies, Lira still captured Asta and brought him to the control room.
After all, Asta's grimoire originally belonged to Licht.
A crack opened in space as Lira threw Asta onto the ground.
She froze.
The entire control room had already been overtaken by vines and branches. Three elves lay unconscious on the ground.
"I didn't expect you to interfere with our plans as well, Cedric," Lira said.
Cedric stood calmly. "You were the ones who broke the agreement first. You promised not to harm civilians."
Lira tilted her head. "Did we? I don't remember that."
Asta immediately noticed one of the unconscious figures. "Yuno!"
"What a noisy child. Still shouting even now," Lira said with a smile. "Don't you agree, Cedric?"
Cedric sighed lightly. "He does shout a lot. You can let him go now."
He raised his blade as multiple magic attributes gathered along its edge.
"I'm afraid that won't happen. That child has something we want."
The sphere of light in the air suddenly condensed.
A powerful presence filled the room as a man dressed in white slowly descended.
"Licht..." Lira said, her face lighting up.
Licht landed and looked around, his expression blank, as if searching for something.
Cedric watched him with a faint smile.
You can't find it, can you?
Licht suddenly moved.
In an instant, he appeared behind Lira and placed a hand on Asta's shoulder.
A black grimoire rose into the air.
Two demon swords materialized.
Licht glanced at the Demon-Slayer Sword, then casually picked up the anti-magic sword instead.
Cedric narrowed his eyes slightly.
Was that disdain?
"Bastard, that's my weapon!" Asta shouted.
"Shut up! That grimoire belongs to Licht!" Lira snapped, slapping Asta hard, only to wince from the impact.
"This grimoire is no longer mine," Licht said calmly.
The anti-magic sword shed its black coating, revealing a silver-white blade.
"I understand, Licht," Lira replied.
She formed a magic blade, preparing to kill Asta.
Suddenly, vines wrapped around her arm, stopping her.
"Lira, did you forget I'm still here?" Cedric said.
"Cedric!" Lira glared as countless light swords shot toward him.
"Composite Magic: Flash."
A blazing slash cut through everything, destroying the incoming attacks.
"Lira, we'll continue this next time."
When the light faded, Cedric was gone.
At the Black Bulls' base, Cedric dropped Asta and Yuno onto the ground.
He fell into thought.
"The elves will definitely open the Shadow Palace. When that happens, the devil will emerge. I should clean up a few loose ends first, starting with the Kira family. No survivors."
He paused.
"Well, I'm not a villain. I'll leave them with a puppet king."
"Mr. Cedric, what should we do next?" Noelle asked.
Cedric reached out and gently stroked her silver hair, his fingers lingering slightly longer than necessary.
"You should return to the Silva family. They need you."
Noelle lowered her head. "I want to stay with you. I don't care about them. I just want to be with you. Is that not allowed?"
Cedric lifted her chin, his gaze steady.
"I understand, my princess."
His thumb brushed lightly against her lower lip before he stepped back.
He pulled out the Demon-Destroyer Sword.
The sword suddenly moved on its own, flying toward Asta as if trying to pierce him.
Cedric's eyes sharpened.
"So you've got a will of your own."
The blade darkened as he grabbed it firmly.
"You think you can escape me? Behave."
A faint cyan glow spread across the sword as it let out a clear ringing sound.
"You're mine now."
Ignoring everything else, Cedric walked over to Yuno and stabbed the sword into his side.
"Aaaah!"
Yuno jolted awake. "What the hell, Cedric! Why did you stab me?"
Cedric nodded in satisfaction. "Good. It works."
He kicked Asta lightly. "Get up. Time to work."
Asta groaned as he opened his eyes. "Yuno, you're back!"
Cedric spoke calmly. "The Clover Kingdom is under attack. We're heading to the royal capital."
"I can't move. I don't have any strength left," Asta said weakly.
"Heal."
Cedric restored all of Asta's injuries instantly.
Using Flying Thunder God Magic, he teleported them to the royal capital.
Flames burned everywhere. Screams echoed endlessly.
Asta clenched his sword. "Damn it!"
He rushed forward without hesitation.
Beside him, Yuno also began rescuing civilians.
Cedric headed toward the Crimson Lion Kings.
He looked at Fuegoleon, who lay frozen in an ice coffin.
"You should wake up too, sleeping lion."
Secret Technique: Edo Tensei.
Using a White Zetsu as a sacrifice, Cedric activated the technique.
Fuegoleon reappeared, clad in red.
He looked at his hands in disbelief.
Then he saw his own body still lying in the ice.
"What... is going on?"
