Licht arrived at Hage Village in the Outer Common Realm with the still-warm Magic Stones, where Hades had already been waiting for a long time.
"Lord Licht, you have returned."
"The plan was a success. No, it was even better than expected. Lord Licht has killed the Wizard King," Valtos said, staring at Licht's back with excitement, his hands pressed to his face.
"Now we can awaken our true power."
"This day has finally come, Lord Licht," Valtos added as he looked at the Stone Tablet.
"With this, those of us chosen by mana will awaken powerful magic, right?" Ladros said.
Licht raised his hand. "Everyone, you have all done very well. Thank you for your hard work. I am proud of you. The time to fulfill our long-cherished wish has finally arrived. Let us be reborn in a new form and establish our nation."
He paused.
"Those are the words that Licht, the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, should say. Now, these are my true feelings."
"You are greedy and selfish. Everything you have done was for your own filthy selves. As expected, you humans are beyond redemption, foolish and ugly existences."
Valtos froze in disbelief. "What are you saying, Lord Licht?"
Licht placed the final Magic Stone onto the Stone Tablet, and it emitted a brilliant light.
"Become the foundation for our resurrection!" Licht shouted, his face twisting into a distorted smile.
The light spread from Hage Village across the entire Clover Kingdom. Countless pillars of light shot into the sky as Reincarnation Magic began.
Inside the Shadow Palace, Lira, who had been beaten half to death by Mereoleona, suddenly erupted with intense light. Her black hair turned snow-white, her ears grew long and pointed, and her mana surged wildly.
Elsewhere, the Magic Knights were battling members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun.
As for Vetto, ever since being defeated twice by Yami Sukehiro, he had become cautious, avoiding direct combat whenever possible and even resorting to sneak attacks from behind.
As the pillars of light descended, everyone except the royals, Asta, and a few others developed red magic markings on their faces. Their ears grew long and pointed as they began attacking their own comrades.
"It's started. Now I can go save Asta and the others."
Cedric used Flying Thunder God Magic and instantly teleported to Noelle's side, only to find Luck grinning as he relentlessly attacked her.
Luck moved rapidly in and out of Noelle's water sphere, repeatedly piercing her defensive barrier with a crazed smile.
Cedric narrowed his eyes.
Tree Magic: Great Forest Jutsu, Parasite.
Trees burst from the ground, spreading rapidly and covering the corridor. Luck's speed was restricted, and the branches closed in around him.
Tree Magic: Tree Spirit's Barrier.
A green cocoon formed, sealing the now-unconscious Luck inside.
Cedric turned to Noelle and smirked slightly as his eyes lingered on her disheveled state, his voice dropping just a bit. "You alright, Noelle, or do you need me to carry you properly this time?"
Noelle flushed slightly, glaring at him. "I can move on my own."
Cedric chuckled. "Shame. I was starting to enjoy the view."
"Noelle, let's go save the others."
Tree Magic: Wood Dragon, Petite Version.
They climbed onto the Wood Dragon, with Luck tied to its tail, and flew toward the area with the strongest mana.
"Mr. Cedric, how did you know something happened?" Noelle asked.
Cedric glanced ahead. "It's chaos outside. Light pillars have appeared across almost every region of the Clover Kingdom. Anyone touched by them becomes exponentially stronger and starts slaughtering civilians."
"It's that serious?" Noelle instinctively moved closer to him.
Cedric wrapped an arm around her waist to steady her, his grip firm. "Stay close. Things are only going to get worse from here."
As they advanced, a cold and overwhelming aura grew stronger.
"We are comrades of the Golden Dawn, Senior Hamon, Senior Klaus!"
Noelle was tied to a cross, her body covered in wounds and her clothes torn, faint traces of blood visible across her chest.
"Do not speak to us. You have no comrades here, Royal," Hamon said coldly, while Klaus stood beside him with a twisted smile.
"Success at last. This child's soul was quite stubborn," Yuno said as he turned around with a faint smile.
The spheres of light surrounding them retracted, and a figure identical to Licht slowly emerged, radiating immense mana that made breathing difficult.
"Finally, no longer human," Lira said as her wounds rapidly healed.
Mereoleona's fighting spirit only grew stronger as she grinned.
Now this was interesting.
As the battle resumed, Lira began using two different types of magic simultaneously. Unlike Cedric or Rill's Painting Magic, her ability randomly combined different magic attributes, making her attacks unpredictable and dangerous.
No matter how Lira changed her tactics, Mereoleona remained unmoved, repeatedly using Calidos Brachium to burn everything in her path.
Lira aimed to drag the fight out. With an elf's mana reserves, she feared no one.
The battle intensified, sweat covering both of them as neither dared to relax.
Beast Magic: Bear Claw.
A flash of yellow light appeared, and a heavy strike slammed into Mereoleona's back.
She spat out blood and turned, seeing Vetto smiling at her.
"So even you resort to sneak attacks," Mereoleona said coldly.
"Big Sis Mereoleona!"
Asta immediately entered his Black form and activated the Eight Gates on top of it. His body now radiated a mix of black and green energy.
This was his strongest state, but it could not last even three minutes.
Asta shot forward, appearing behind Vetto.
Beast Magic: Rhino Armor, Gauntlet.
With a flash of black light, Vetto's arm was severed and sent flying.
"You bastard!"
Vetto stared in shock. He had not expected his strongest defense to be pierced.
"Die!"
Two magic circles appeared, and monstrous beasts crawled out from within.
Demonic Beast Magic: Iporapuevigu.
A massive explosion followed as debris scattered everywhere.
At that moment, four spheres of light descended, revealing more reincarnated elves.
"Rill, what's wrong with you?" Asta shouted.
Floating in the air with his palette, Rill looked at him blankly. "Who are you?"
Then he turned and embraced Lira. "Lira, long time no see."
"You're still the same as ever," Lira replied.
Asta gritted his teeth and raised his sword. "Rill, they're from the Eye of the Midnight Sun! I'm Asta, your friend!"
"All humans deserve to die," Rill replied coldly.
Painting Magic: Four-Headed Lindwurm.
Four massive creatures appeared, each breathing a different magic attribute as Lira and the others stood atop them.
"Asta, they might be controlled by magic. Use that spinning attack. I'll cover you," Zora said as he appeared beside him.
Trap Magic activated instantly.
A thick cloud of dust spread across the battlefield, blocking the elves' vision.
"Do not insult us with such childish tricks. Our elf magic sensing far surpasses that of humans," one of them said.
A flash of black light cut through the dust.
A deep wound appeared across Rill's abdomen.
"Aaaah, it hurts!"
