David Morisse, thirty years old, from Devon. A graduate of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, former Gryffindor prefect. After graduation, he worked in the Department of Magical Transportation before resigning to travel the world. Well-traveled, humorous, and still single.
The moment Morisse saw Kellyn Lindsay, it felt as if Cupid had fired an arrow straight into his chest.
He was convinced that the love of his life had finally arrived.
Kellyn was chatting warmly with the other two professors while speaking with Dumbledore and Crouch. Meanwhile, Morisse's eyes tracked her movements like a guided missile.
Sean happened to notice this while glancing around the hall.
But instead of interpreting it as romance, he grew even more suspicious of Professor Morisse.
In Sean's mind, Morisse had officially become the number one suspicious figure of the semester.
Sean had already met the other two teams earlier. Now he used his Magic vision to scan each Ilvermorny competitor one by one.
Among them was a pale, tall, and thin student whose magical aura, while not as strong as the half-giant's, was still stronger than Charlie's.
This Four-School Friendship Tournament was truly full of hidden talents.
If Sean—the ultimate cheat code—hadn't existed, Hogwarts might not have ranked very well.
More than twenty minutes remained before the banquet began when several students began entering the Great Hall.
Sean noticed quite a few familiar faces among them. Professor McGonagall beckoned them forward.
"Why are you here?" Sean asked Cedric.
There were eighteen students in total.
None were first-years.
Among the second-years, Sean spotted three people he knew: Cedric Diggory from Hufflepuff, Angelina Johnson from Gryffindor, and Roger Davies from Ravenclaw.
Among the seventh-years, he saw two particularly sour expressions: Nymphadora Tonks from Hufflepuff and Kurt Malfoy from Slytherin.
"You didn't know?" Cedric said with a smile. "We're representatives too."
"Representatives?"
The six Hogwarts competitors had already been selected. Each one was unanimously considered among the best students in their year.
Now eighteen more "representatives" had appeared.
Were they substitutes?
Professor McGonagall had never mentioned substitutes.
Just as Sean was puzzling over it, McGonagall spoke.
"Please form six rows according to your year. Second-years in the front."
The eighteen students immediately lined up as instructed.
Although they stood beside rivals from other houses, none of them dared show obvious hostility in front of foreign guests.
"To our guests from Ilvermorny, Uagadou, and Castelobruxo," McGonagall announced, "these eighteen students are outstanding Hogwarts students from the three houses aside from our six official competitors."
"You may each select a Hogwarts student of your own year to serve as your exchange partner. Until the competition begins, you may attend classes together."
After her explanation, Sean finally understood why the eighteen students had been summoned.
Hogwarts was conducting a proper magical exchange program.
In simple terms, the visiting students were essentially exchange students.
As for why Sean and the other six competitors were excluded, the reason was obvious.
They didn't want the competitors becoming too close—or worse, starting fights before the tournament even began.
And as for why McGonagall hadn't told Sean and the others beforehand…
There was simply no reason to. It had nothing to do with them.
The first to step forward was a small blonde girl from Ilvermorny's second year, her hair tied in a ponytail.
She walked confidently over to Cedric and said to Professor McGonagall,
"I choose him."
Beside her, Roger Davies had been wearing a confident expression, clearly expecting the girl to choose him.
When he heard she had picked Cedric instead, his face immediately deflated like a punctured balloon.
"So this is the power of being handsome," Sean muttered.
"I choose him."
A second-year boy from Castelobruxo pointed at Angelina.
That left a Uagadou boy with no choice but to partner with Roger.
Seeing Roger's miserable expression, Sean couldn't help but chuckle.
After all, in a few years Roger Davies would become a famous playboy at Hogwarts, extremely skilled at flirting with girls.
But dealing with a tough Uagadou boy?
That might be another story.
Ten minutes later, the eighteen visiting students had all selected their exchange partners.
Cedric and the others returned to their respective house tables.
Dumbledore cleared his throat and addressed the twenty-four competitors.
"By request of the Ministry of Magic, all participants must personally register."
Crouch handed him a book.
Dumbledore placed it on the podium and said,
"Let the Hogwarts competitors go first."
His gaze fell on Sean.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Sean stepped forward and signed his name first.
"Use this," Crouch said, handing him a silver quill.
Sean took the quill and wrote his name in the book.
As he did, he noticed something strange.
The quill was drawing magical power from him—using magic itself as ink.
Clearly, this wasn't just an ordinary signature.
"Tracking magic?" Sean wondered.
After he finished writing, Dumbledore loudly announced his name, introducing him to the competitors from the other schools.
Next came Penelope, Zach, and the rest of the Hogwarts team.
After all six had signed, the small Ilvermorny girl stepped forward.
"Joanna Brady," Dumbledore read aloud.
The second Ilvermorny student to step up was a boy with slightly curly hair.
He looked shy, clearly uncomfortable being in front of so many people.
"Sam Winchester."
"Hm? That name sounds familiar… Did I forget some important character from the story?" Sean thought, searching his memory.
Meanwhile, Ilvermorny's third and fourth competitors signed their names.
The fourth was the pale, tall blond boy—Clavin, the Daywalker.
Then the fifth name was announced.
Sean snapped out of his thoughts.
What followed hit him like a bolt of lightning.
"Dean Winchester."
The brown-haired Ilvermorny sixth-year standing before him was named Dean Winchester.
The boy earlier—Sam Winchester—was his brother.
Normally, that wouldn't mean much. The Weasley family alone had brothers scattered across multiple years at Hogwarts.
But to Sean, the Winchester brothers were explosive information.
In his previous life, he had watched an American TV series called Supernatural.
The two protagonists were brothers with those exact names.
"A nested world? Is this more than just the Harry Potter universe merging with others?"
Sean couldn't help but consider the possibility.
He couldn't clearly remember the Winchester brothers' exact ages in the show, but it seemed roughly around this time period.
Only by finding an opportunity to talk with them—and learn more about them—could Sean determine whether this was merely a coincidence of names…
Or proof that multiple worlds had merged together.
