"Excuse me, does your appearance here mean some kind of disaster is about to happen and you need to warn people? If possible, could you tell us what it is? My name is Ash. These are my family members: Pikachu, Meowth, Zigzagoon, Happiny, and Poochyena. And my Meowth can translate what you say."
"Awooo?" (You aren't afraid of me?)
Absol looked at the young Ash in front of it, feeling a bit strange. After all, he didn't run away the moment he saw an Absol. Normally, when humans—whether adults or children—saw an Absol, they would immediately run for the hills. Absol had long grown used to this.

"Meowth just translated Absol's words. You know what to do, right?"

"Idiots! Evacuate the people and Pokémon nearby first! Get the geological experts later! Move, now!"
"Yes, sir!"
Watching his subordinates scurry off to evacuate the people and Pokémon, Ash shook his head in exasperation. Just then, a silver-haired woman walked over, glanced at Absol, and said to Ash, "Boss, why do you trust a Pokémon so easily? Especially one with such a notorious reputation?"
For some reason, Absol really disliked this woman. But seeing that she was Ash's subordinate, Absol ignored her. Ash, meanwhile, continued rubbing his Poochyena's belly and explained to the woman, "J, don't underestimate anyone, and that includes Pokémon. They possess wondrous abilities, and the Absol is a group of misunderstood heroes. People say their appearance brings disaster? That's just idiots shifting the blame. I've read the records. Every time an Absol appears, rather than saying they bring disaster, it's more accurate to say they are simply warning humans of impending doom. Absol, am I right?"
Absol gave Ash a somewhat surprised look, finally nodding. At the same time, it grew even more curious about Ash. Absol could hear that Ash genuinely believed what he was saying. Although Absol really didn't like the woman named J beside him, Ash was different. Because Ash understood Absol. This gave the solitary Absol a feeling of finally finding a companion.
The woman Ash called J looked at Absol and frowned. Just like Absol, she didn't like it much either. It was just a mutual gut feeling.
Absol could sense her thoughts.
'Clearly a Dark-type Pokémon, yet it has some ridiculous sense of justice. Don't make me laugh.' That was what this woman named J was thinking. She absolutely thought that way, Absol was sure of it.
"Whatever, I don't like Absol anyway. I dislike its boring sense of justice."
Faced with J's bluntness, Absol just gave her a glance and ignored her again. After all, Absol didn't like her either.
"I don't care whether you like Absol or not; as long as I like it, it's fine. And don't forget, I didn't pay to wipe your criminal record and hire you just to hear about who you like. Right now, I only want to know what happened to those guys who planned to kidnap me."
"It's already been handled. They will never appear again. Your Arbok's children, the Ekans, helped a lot. If possible, I'd really like two of them to come with me."
Just thinking about the terrifying venom used by Ash's Arbok's children made J very pleased.
"As long as they're dealt with, that's fine. Your bonus will be sent over shortly. As for the Ekans, that depends on whether you can attract them to you."
