"Champion-level! Tell me, what rookie who just started his journey has a Champion-level Pokémon?! Tell me who?!"
Looking at the completely frantic Cologne, Ash called out to Meowth, Chansey, and Pikachu in the stands, "Meowth, Chansey, Pikachu, show him!"
"Pika!" (I'm Mythical-tier, actually!)
"Oh my, it's so embarrassing being stared at by so many people, Boss."
"Lucky!" (Is a Champion really that weird?)
As the three of them released their auras, Cologne went completely numb. He stared at Ash, totally speechless. Bro, I'll call you Big Bro for real! A Pikachu, a Meowth, and a Chansey... and you trained them ALL to Champion-level?! What the hell is going on?!
While Cologne was having an existential crisis, the referee shouted, "The 4v4 final battle begins!"
"Go! Free battle!"
Hearing Ash and Karen declare a free battle, their Pokémon immediately charged forward. Cologne desperately wanted to command his Kommo-o, but he simply didn't have the capability!
Kommo-o locked its sights directly onto Absol. It naturally wanted to help its trainer's juniors, but it absolutely could not let this Champion-level Absol get near the others. Otherwise, those Elite-tier Pokémon would be instantly obliterated.
"Roar!"
Kommo-o roared and launched a Close Combat at Absol. But Ash's Absol simply flashed a sharp look at the charging dragon before immediately using Double Team, hiding its true body among countless illusions. Kommo-o's attacks were utterly useless against the fakes. Seeing this, Kommo-o executed a sweeping Dragon Tail, obliterating all the illusions in one strike.
"Roar?"
When Kommo-o's tail swept through, it realized the real Absol wasn't among them at all.
"Above you!"
Hearing Cologne's warning, Kommo-o didn't even look up; it rapidly dodged and retaliated with Dragon Claw. High in the air, Absol, having missed its initial strike, met the Dragon Claw head-on using Slash with its horn.
While Kommo-o and Absol were deadlocked, Ash's Houndoom relied on its immense speed, alongside Karen's Umbreon, to relentlessly toy with Machamp and Hariyama.
"Damn it, we can't even touch them! I have no choice! Since that's the case... Hariyama, indiscriminate attack! Arm Thrust!"
"Yama!"
Hariyama understood the art of indiscriminate destruction. It channeled all its power into its hands, charging forward while violently thrusting its palms in every direction.
Seeing Cologne order such a reckless attack, both Karen and Ash smiled, though Ash's was hidden behind his mask.
"Umbreon, use Baby-Doll Eyes and Psychic on Machamp!"
"Houndoom! Deep Bite combined with Inferno! Take out Hariyama!"
With their commands, Umbreon's eyes flared, unleashing a powerful wave of psychic energy. Just as Hariyama tried to capitalize on the moment to attack Umbreon, Ash's Houndoom clamped its jaws firmly onto Hariyama's palm and point-blank detonated an Inferno.
Caught between a terrifying blast of fire and the amplified damage of Umbreon's psychic assault, Machamp and Hariyama couldn't even mount a defense before collapsing unconscious. On the other side, Honchkrow had already finished off Mienshao with a clean Fly.
The only Pokémon left standing were Kommo-o and Absol. The two had long since separated and were currently engaged in a frantic beam struggle. Kommo-o's Dragon Breath was constantly being overpowered by Absol's Hyper Beam; if Kommo-o hadn't been fast on its feet, it would have been down already.
Watching the exchange, Ash tilted his head. "We've played around enough. Absol, give them a final show. Let them see true power."
"Awooo!"
Hearing Ash, Absol nodded and leaped high into the air. A pitch-black, malicious aura began to radiate from both Absol and Ash. And then, right before everyone's eyes, Absol evolved!
"Mega Absol! Dark Pulse! Even with a type disadvantage, this power isn't something you can stop!"
"Awooo-roar!"
With Mega Absol's roar, a terrifyingly massive wave of dark energy surged toward Kommo-o. Panicking, Kommo-o instantly threw up a Protect. But when the purplish-black energy collided with the green barrier, the unthinkable happened. Absol's Dark Pulse completely shattered the Protect barrier and engulfed Kommo-o whole.
When the purplish-black energy finally dissipated Kommo-o was lying unconscious on the ground. Mega Absol slowly walked back to Ash, gently leaning against his side.
"The match is over! The winners are Ash and Karen!"
"OHHHHHHH!!! Long live the Boss!!!"
