The leader of the Raticate clan had once been saved by Ash, so it cared a great deal about its savior. It had constantly tried to stop its offspring from stealing Ash's herbs, and even organized the Raticate clan to help guard them. But it just couldn't stop the ignorant newborn Rattatas. In truth, Ash set aside a portion of his herbs for the Raticates every year as thanks for helping protect the herbs, as well as Tomo and Lara. But when the little Rattatas stole food, they were eating into the Raticates' own share.
Raticate knew this, so it was always educating the younger generation. However, Raticates... bred extremely fast. So it was still quite a hassle.
That evening, during dinner, just as Ash was talking about adding defenses to the herb fields, someone ran over and shouted, "Tomo, your Tauros are spooked!"
"What?!" x2
Hearing the Tauros were spooked, Ash and Lara reacted first. Tomo said in surprise, "The Tauros are spooked? Let's go take a look!"
Surrounded by a group of Scythers and Ponytas, Ash and the others rushed to Tomo's cattle pen. When they saw the army of Scythers and Ponytas, Meowth, Jessie, and James—the Team Rocket trio hired by Dario to cause trouble—shuddered. Why were there so many Scythers and Ponytas?! But when they saw Ash, a gleam flashed in their eyes.
"Revenge!!!" x3
"Go, James! Attack the twerp's Ponyta to cause a riot!"
"Understood! This is our strike of revenge! Take this, twerp!"
James aimed at Ash and fired a stone from his slingshot. The stone flew rapidly toward Ponyta. However, because Ash's Ponyta was moving rather fast, the stone was going to hit Lara, who was slightly behind, instead. In the nick of time, a hand caught the incoming stone in a death grip. The owner of that hand was none other than Ash.
"Pika..." (Oh crap...)
"Lucky!" (We're doomed! An attack on Mama Lara! Papa Ash is going to go berserk!!!)
"We're dead, meow..."
Under the 'we're screwed' gazes of Misty, Suzie, Brock, Pikachu, Meowth, Chansey, and Tomo, Ash calmly said to Lara, "Be careful next time, Lara. That was dangerous."
Lara looked at the stone in Ash's hand and apologized, "Sorry, I made you worry, Ash."
"It's fine. Oh right—Suzie, Misty, Tomo, Lara, stay together with Meowth, Pikachu, and Chansey. It's safer that way. You too, Brock. Now then, I'm going to..."
Slowly turning his head, Team Rocket beheld Ash, his face twisted into the ultimate demonic visage.
"I'm going to tear the guys who attacked Lara into eight pieces right now! Primeape! Squirtle! Bulbasaur! Charmeleon! Arbok! Beedrill! Kirlia! Pidgeot! Dragonite! CHARGE WITH ME! AAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
"We're doomed! Aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!"
Seeing Ash charging at them with a whole squad of Pokémon, Team Rocket hugged each other in sheer terror.
"The twerp is so scary, meow!!!"
"We know that without you telling us!!!" x2
"Bulbasaur, Solar Beam! Squirtle, Iron Defense and Skull Bash, get ready!"
"Bulba!"
"Squirtle!"
Ash grabbed Bulbasaur and Squirtle and hoisted them onto his shoulders. Using Ash's shoulders to stabilize themselves, Bulbasaur began gathering power via Ripple energy and taking aim.
"Run away!!!" x3
Seeing Ash rapidly closing in, Team Rocket tried to flee. But Ash had already anticipated their escape...
"Kirlia! Disable! Psyduck! You too! Do it and I'll make you late-night snacks!"
"Kirlia!"
"Psy!"
With the Disable from the two Psychic-type pokémon, Team Rocket was frozen in place.
"We're doomed!" x3
"Fire!!!"
"Bulba!!!"
After Bulbasaur's Solar Beam blasted them in the face, Team Rocket was immediately met with Squirtle, who had been hurled by Ash.
"Go! Supreme Iron Headbutt!"
"Squirtle!"
As Squirtle's large head smashed right into Jessie's face, an inhumane gang beatdown began.
"Beat them to death! When you're done beating them tonight, I'll make you guys Supreme Soup!"
"Roar!!!" xN
The temptation of Ash's Supreme Soup was no joke. Hearing this, even Dragonite put its back into beating them up, and Primeape, who had heard of Ash's Supreme Soup, punched even more frantically. Meanwhile, Meowth, Pikachu, and Chansey exchanged a glance upon hearing "Supreme Soup" and charged in together.
"Pika Pika!" (Don't forget me!)
"Lucky!" (Count me in!)
"For the Supreme Soup!"
"Scy!"
"Neigh!" (I'm going to get a kick in too!)
Seeing Meowth and the others join in, Ash didn't stop them but instead reminded them: "Remember! No using moves! Just beat them to death!"
Tomo watched this situation and smiled helplessly, saying, "As expected, Ash went berserk."
Lara looked at Ash, blushing slightly because he had gone berserk for her sake, and said, "He still hasn't changed..."
Suzie, however, looked at Ash with great interest and said, "This side of Ash is actually quite interesting."
Misty chuckled as she watched Team Rocket getting brutally beaten. "Let's hope those three learn their lesson."
