Chapter 71 - He even felt wronged.

Su Mianmian couldn't help but roll her eyes at Song Zhi. "Do you think that's possible?"

She had asked Gu Yizhou yesterday why he remembered her after only seeing her dance once, but she had no recollection of his answer. "Why is it impossible? That day, with your flying dance, you became the goddess in the hearts of countless young men. It's normal for Mr. Z to fall in love with you at first sight!" "You said yourself, 'young men,' is he still a young man?" "Besides, if he fell in love with me at first sight, would he later arrange a marriage with my sister?"

Su Mianmian's words became increasingly absurd. "Let's not talk about that. Didn't we talk about finding you a fake boyfriend yesterday? I asked Gu Yizhou's assistant to help. When do you want to arrange for him to appear?" Song Zhi's eyes lit up, wishing she could kowtow to Su Mianmian on the spot.

"Mianmian, you're so efficient! You even got Mr. Z's assistant?" "Then what are we waiting for? To avoid any unforeseen problems, let's arrange it tonight!"...That evening, Gao Ze arrived at A University as promised.

As always, he was impeccably dressed in a suit and his shoes were polished to a gleaming shine. Song Zhi stared wide-eyed at him from afar.

She pounded Su Mianmian's chest with her little fist, "You stinky Mianmian, how can your Mr. Z's assistant be so handsome? Why bother with this fake relationship? I might as well put in the effort and make it real!" Su Mianmian's lips twitched. "If you want it, if you can."

As she spoke, Gao Ze approached. After Su Mianmian introduced them to each other, she was about to leave when Gao Ze said calmly, "Madam, Mr. Gu is waiting for you in the car." "Gu Yizhou is here too?"

Su Mianmian glanced suspiciously towards the school gate, took two steps towards it, then suddenly remembered how he had teased her that morning, and abruptly pulled her foot back. "I won't be going. I have an exam tomorrow and need to go back to my dorm to study. Please ask Assistant Gao to pass on the message." Although Gao Ze didn't know what the couple was arguing about, he thought President Gu was incredibly prescient, knowing his wife wouldn't see him and even having a backup plan.

"Madam, President Gu brought Tangtang with him. He said Tangtang doesn't seem to be feeling too well and wants you to take her to the vet with him." Upon hearing that Tangtang wasn't feeling well, Su Mianmian immediately panicked, forgetting all her previous embarrassment.

She greeted Song Zhi and the other woman and headed straight for the Maybach outside the school. Gu Yizhou was leaning against the car, smoking. His tall figure, slightly lowered eyes, and a scarlet dot between his fingers.

As he exhaled, the smoke swirled in the air, partially obscuring Gu Yizhou's deep-set face, making it difficult to see clearly. Seeing Su Mianmian approach, Gu Yizhou smiled, stubbed out his cigarette, and took two steps forward, pulling Su Mianmian's cardigan closer to her chest. "Are you cold?"

Su Mianmian blushed, shook her head, and looked past him through the car window into the car, asking worriedly, "Where's Tangtang? What's wrong with it?"

Gu Yizhou pinched her cheek and led her into the car. "It's still not very active, especially today. We weren't home. When I got back tonight, it was lying on the floor mat, too lazy to even lift its head."

As he spoke, Su Mianmian had already sat in the back seat. Tangtang lay quietly on the back seat, showing little interest in Su Mianmian. Su Mianmian tenderly hugged Tangtang and stroked its head. "Tangtang, what's wrong with you?"

Gu Yizhou ruffled Su Mianmian's hair and instructed the driver to take her to the vet. On the way, Gu Yizhou asked Su Mianmian about her job interview, to which Su Mianmian replied that it was so-so. Gu Yizhou nodded, his voice deep and pleasant.

"That should be alright then. I'll send someone to start the move tomorrow." Su Mianmian's face flushed slightly, and she didn't reply. Feeling a shadow fall over her, Su Mianmian looked up, her forehead nearly brushing against Gu Yizhou's nose.

Su Mianmian's face instantly turned red. She took a small step back, hugging Tangtang tightly. "W-what?" Gu Yizhou's dark eyes stared directly into Su Mianmian's, his voice low and magnetic. "Still angry with me?"

Su Mianmian looked away, her small hand idly stroking Tangtang's fur. "No." "Then you are."

Gu Yizhou gently turned Su Mianmian's face towards him, forcing her to look at him, and said, word by word, "Mianmian, I'm twenty-eight years old, a man with normal physiological needs."

Su Mianmian hadn't expected Gu Yizhou to say something so explicit in front of the driver, and felt her entire face burn. "Gu Yizhou!" she protested softly, "There are other people in the car."

Before she finished speaking, the driver, who had been staring straight ahead like an invisible man, silently raised the partition between their seats. Now, Su Mianmian was even more embarrassed. Her gaze towards Gu Yizhou was a mixture of anger and reproach, displaying the full force of a little girl.

Gu Yizhou suddenly remembered the little girl last night, her eyes red, begging for mercy like a kitten beneath him. His Adam's apple bobbed. "So, Mianmian, I don't ask you to understand how hard I've been holding back. I just hope you won't be angry. It will break my heart if you get sick."

Here we go again. Su Mianmian couldn't stand Gu Yizhou's pitiful tone when he spoke to her like this. He was the one who had gone too far, yet he was the one making it sound like she had suffered a terrible injustice.

Su Mianmian pouted. "Then in the future…" "I promise I will control myself in the future and make sure you don't feel even the slightest discomfort." Su Mianmian wanted to say, couldn't there be no next time?

But considering they were already husband and wife, and as Gu Yizhou said, it was already quite an achievement that he hadn't completely given up on being with her. She pursed her lips. "Okay, then I'll trust you one more time." She had finally managed to appease him.

Gu Yizhou silently exhaled, one hand around Su Mianmian's waist, pulling her straddle his lap. His deep, sculpted features gazed at her. "Come back to Yushui Bay with me, okay?"

Gu Yizhou's eyes were so alluring; she felt as if she might be sucked into the deep pools of his gaze. Su Mianmian couldn't bear to look him in the eye for too long, shyly turning her gaze away. "Let's wait for the interview results."

...Over there, Song Zhi knew that Cheng Yuli had been studying at the library every night lately, so she deliberately dragged Gao Ze to the library to "show off their affection." As soon as they sat down, Cheng Yuli noticed them, his doe-like eyes flickering with uncertainty.

To enhance the realism of her performance, Song Zhi moved closer to Gao Ze and whispered, "Assistant Gao, you can do as I say." Gao Ze understood, occasionally reaching out to affectionately tuck a stray hair behind Song Zhi's ear, and whispering "secrets" in her ear.

To outsiders, they appeared to be a couple deeply in love. Cheng Yuli, however, felt increasingly agitated; the legal provisions in the book seemed like caterpillars.

Song Zhi was pointing to a line of text for Gao Ze when she suddenly felt a shadow fall over her. Looking up, she met Cheng Yuli's slightly reddened eyes. "Song Zhi, come out with me for a moment." Song Zhi felt inexplicably guilty and remained seated.

"Whatever it is, say it here." Cheng Yuli's eyes flashed with hostility as he glanced at Gao Ze. "Are you sure you want me to say it here?" Song Zhi replied, "Yes, I am."

Cheng Yuli nodded. "Alright, about what happened at the hotel that night, I…" Before Cheng Yuli could finish, Song Zhi abruptly stood up, apologized to Gao Ze, and pulled Cheng Yuli's sleeve, leading him out of the library.

"No, Cheng Yuli, are you crazy? What nonsense are you spouting in front of my boyfriend?" Cheng Yuli pinned Song Zhi against a large tree. "Boyfriend? Isn't your boyfriend me?" Song Zhi chuckled. "If you're a fake boyfriend, don't try to claim the title."

Cheng Yuli's pink lips moved slightly. "So what if it's fake? Since you agreed to pretend, you have to go all the way. So many people in this school know me. What if someone tells my mom about you changing boyfriends? Who am I supposed to talk to?"

Song Zhi hadn't expected Cheng Yuli to be waiting for her here. She raised an eyebrow. "So, according to you, I have to pretend to be your girlfriend until we graduate?" Cheng Yuli remained noncommittal. Song Zhi sneered, "You wish, Cheng Yuli. I'm telling you this now, sorry, the game is over, and I'm not playing anymore!" Song Zhi turned to leave, but Cheng Yuli braced himself against her, trapping her between him and the tree trunk.
