MINJAE
"Mmm." My eyes slowly opened to the surroundings, but then shut again from the rays of light coming in through the room. "Where am I?"
My voice sounded hoarse to my ears, my tongue dry and bitter. I smacked my lips and moved my head down, only to see a woman's head resting on my thigh.
"Ara?" I whispered, but a sharp headache split through my head, and I hissed, holding it.
Her brows pressed tightly together and her eyes snapped open as she looked up at me. "You're awake."
She stood up, reaching forward to touch my forehead. "Thank God the fever is gone. Are you okay? Do you need water? The doctor asked me to give you water as soon as you wake up."
I nodded. She smiled, then grabbed the water bottle on the stool beside the bed. She poured some into a glass before handing it over to me.
I took the glass from her, hissing from the pain as I moved my body.
"Is it hurting?" she asked in concern.
