MINJAE
"When you get inside there, I want you to smile all through and not answer their questions with snide remarks," My manager, Dae said behind me as we stood inside the elevator. I rolled my eyes, slipping my hand into my pocket as the elevator moved up.
"Minjae, promise me you won't make me regret this," he added, almost pleading. I exhaled but didn't answer.
"Minjae!"
"I can hear you!" I snapped, covering one ear as I glared at him.
"Good. I thought you went deaf." He looked back at his phone, typing something before lifting his head again. "They are already waiting in the meeting room. CEO Lee is in a meeting, so everything is left to us. Just go in there, sign the documents, and leave."
"I heard you the first time," I hissed, irritated.
"It's for your own good. You're too stubborn and you bring problems to me. I want to go home early today, Minjae. My wife will kill me if I stay up all night attending to your problems," he complained, stomping his foot lightly.
