Chapter 29 The Sand Man.
Ron spat blood as he glared at the man standing on the glassy crater. "You dare!" Ron was furious, his eyes burning with anger.
"Tsk, you really are a monster. To have survived that blast," the 4-meter-tall man said, shaking his head in disappointment. "And you just had to throw those two away too."
"Garp was there too," Ron replied coldly. The man snorted. "So what? As a Marine, he should be happy to sacrifice himself for justice," he said, laughing.
At the moment Ron, Garp, and Roger had clashed, Ron's haki had shown him the future. Though he hadn't mastered future sight, in that life-threatening instant he had seen it clearly. Someone had dropped a stone into the explosion, amplifying it to a level that could have killed or maimed them.
"Dyna stone," Ron muttered, recalling a memory. The man laughed loudly. "Dadadadada, so Rocks knows about the dyna stones?" Ron realized the man had misunderstood.
Just then, a towering figure descended from the sky. "Tsk, going after my brother?" His naginata swung down, coated in conqueror's infusion.
The man's laughter faded as his body turned to sand, reforming a few meters away. Newgate's attack missed, and he narrowed his eyes. "Tsk, just like always, a sneaky rat… Admiral Goro."
"Tsk, so that bastard sent reinforcements," Goro muttered. Ron stood up, already recovered, stretching his arms as a dangerous grin spread across his face.
"Oi, Newgate. Whoever beats him gets 1 billion berries." Newgate grinned. "Gurarara, you better be ready with the money."
Goro snorted. "Like the two of you can take me down." His body began turning into sand, but suddenly gravity slammed him downward.
"You dare go after my man and think you can escape?" Gloriousa floated in the sky, eyes cold. Gabban arrived beside them, both axes in hand, glancing at Ron.
"Roger?" Gabban asked. Ron spread his wings and drew Surtr. "Safe," he replied before shooting into the sky.
Gloriousa closed her eyes as massive amounts of seawater rose into the air under her control. Rain began pouring down, soaking everything below.
"Damn it," Goro cursed as Ron appeared in front of him, swinging Surtr. Newgate and Gabban were already positioned to block any escape.
With no choice, Goro raised his hand and formed a sand fist to block, but the rain soaked his body. Surtr cut through the sand, forcing him back.
"Gurarara, now where will you run?" Newgate swung his fist, coated in a white glow. The space in front of him cracked as a shockwave surged toward Goro.
Armament covered Goro's body as he was pushed back, blood leaking from his nose. Before he could recover, Ron closed in again, his punch sending Goro flying.
Gabban attacked immediately, but Goro's body dissolved into sand as the water dried. "Tsk," Gabban clicked his tongue.
Goro reformed as the glassy crater beneath them turned into sand. "Awakened logia," Ron said calmly, watching the transformation.
"Dadadadada, you want to fight me? Fine, let's fight!" Goro laughed as he dissolved into sand. The entire crater shifted, and countless sand fists coated in armament attacked them from all directions.
Newgate dodged and swung his naginata, destroying the incoming attacks. "This bastard always fights like this," he growled.
Ron cut through multiple sand fists. "Newgate, attack the ground. Gloriousa, lift us in the air while he attacks," Ron ordered.
Gloriousa snapped her fingers, lifting Gabban with gravity while Ron took to the sky. Newgate grinned and slammed his fist into the ground, triggering a massive earthquake.
Goro tried to counter, but Ron swung his blade downward. "Flame Dragon Rush!" Five flaming dragons dove toward Goro.
"Damn you!" Goro used Geppo to escape, but gravity pinned him midair. "Where do you think you're going?" Gloriousa smirked.
"Damn it! Garp, where are you, bastard?" Goro shouted as sand formed a dome around him. The flaming dragons crashed into it, melting the sand into glass.
The glass shattered, and sand poured out, forming a massive 20-meter sand giant. Ron grew to his 30-meter height, facing it head-on.
"Tsk, you think you're some Uchiha pulling out Susanoo?" Ron mocked. Goro looked confused but attacked anyway, their fists colliding with black lightning crackling.
Newgate struck again, sending shockwaves that shattered the giant, but it quickly reformed. Ron fought it directly while Newgate supported with his Gura Gura no Mi.
Gloriousa hovered above, constantly interfering whenever Goro tried to escape. Her gravity slowed him, allowing Ron and Newgate to keep pressure on him.
Seeing no need to stay, Gabban dove into the sea to search for Roger and Garp. Meanwhile, the two of them stood on a nearby deserted island, confused.
"Weren't we fighting? Why are we here?" Garp asked. Roger frowned. "And where is here?"
"Whatever, I'm not done having fun," Garp grinned. Roger smirked as he drew Ace, and the two resumed fighting on the island.
Two days passed as Ron, Gloriousa, and Newgate kept Goro from escaping near Ripple Kingdom. Meanwhile, the Roger Pirates searched the surrounding seas for their captain.
Goro stood exhausted, barely holding himself together. "Y-you can't kill an admiral…" he stammered, fear evident in his voice.
"Gurarara, our captain already killed one. Another won't be a problem," Newgate said, laughing. Ron grinned coldly.
"You shouldn't have interfered in our fight. And didn't you say Marines should die for justice? Then die for it."
"N-no… please… I'll become a pirate… I'll join Rocks… don't kill me…" Goro begged, sobbing.
Ron and Newgate didn't hesitate. Their weapons, coated in advanced armament, moved in unison.
In the next moment, Goro's head separated from his body. The admiral fell, dead.
