Chapter 61 - Chapter 57 Viktor was the first to speak

"Are you saying that we can explore the previous relationship through energy resonance between gems?"

Viktor was the first to speak. Jayce opened his mouth, then shrugged: "That's exactly what I was going to say!"

Clatter!

Duke pulled the blackboard closer, picked up a piece of chalk, tapped the table, and began writing formulas on it.

"We have now speculated that there can be energy resonance between Gems, so during energy resonance, will some connection be formed between the two?"

As Duke listed rows of formulas on the blackboard, his eyes shone with concentration, and Arrogance squatted at the laboratory door, looking at his father with adoration.

For him, Duke was his god!

He had given him his body, his life, and everything he had.

In his eyes, Duke was omnipotent.

"So, based on the above hypothesis, we can deduce an important piece of information!" Duke finished writing the last formula and looked at Viktor, "Viktor, you tell us!"

"Energy... channel?"

Viktor spoke with a lack of confidence, while Jayce stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"That's right, it's an energy channel!"

"Through mathematical verification, coupled with the previously observed magic resonance phenomenon, we have every reason to hypothesize that the mutual resonance between Hextech Gems will create a interconnected channel!"

"And this channel might be the challenge you are currently trying to overcome!"

"But once it's researched, what field will it be applied to?"

Duke took off his trench coat, hung it on the blackboard, and stretched vigorously, "Talking theoretically is a bit too abstract, I'll just show you with a practical demonstration!"

Duke immediately used the tools and materials on hand to create a small demonstration prop.

As Duke tightened the last screw, he habitually reached for the wrench on his waist, but when he felt nothing, he realized this wasn't his laboratory.

Jayce and Viktor looked at the small prop Duke had made, their eyes showing contemplation. Jayce's expression changed constantly, sometimes surprised, sometimes troubled. Viktor was more reserved, continuously frowning.

"What is this?"

Upholding the idea of asking when he didn't understand, Viktor directly questioned. The prop Duke made consisted of two rings wrapped with copper wire, with a guide rail connecting their centers.

Duke picked up a small steel ball and played with it while also turning on the switch. With the Hextech Gem providing power, the current was very abundant.

"Electricity generates magnetism, and magnetism generates electricity. I think you already know that. So if energy resonance can form an energy pathway, why can't electromagnetic resonance?"

Duke placed the steel ball in his hand on the guide rail and gently blew on it. The steel ball slowly rolled along the guide rail, gaining speed until, under electromagnetic acceleration, it became a black Shadow, piercing through the wall.

"A one-way electromagnetic rail can accelerate metal objects. As you just saw, the electromagnetic field will continuously push the steel ball forward until it accelerates past a threshold."

"But isn't this a weapon?"

Jayce looked at the pierced wall, frowning deeply, somewhat repulsed: "This simply cannot be applied to civilian life!"

"That's true, but what if we think about it from a different perspective?"

Duke turned off the power supply to the electromagnetic rail, pulled out another blackboard, and began to draw and write on it.

"If we can prove the existence of an energy pathway between Hextech Gems, then we can build upon it!"

Duke pointed to the continuously cooling electromagnetic rail: "Enlarge it, then replace the steel ball with a ship or..."

Duke pointed to the sky, saying profoundly, "An airship!"

"As long as we build bases at the departure and destination points in advance, then with the propulsion and acceleration of energy within the energy channel, airships or ships can reach from one base to another in the shortest possible time!"

"And what is the result of doing so?"

"We will greatly improve transportation efficiency, thereby promoting people's livelihoods, changing the Twin Cities, and bringing a better future."

Viktor stroked his chin, lost in thought, and said, "If it can truly be achieved, we will be remembered in history!"

"So this is why different perspectives on a problem lead to different answers. Jayce, your vision is still too low, too narrow. You need to aim higher!"

Duke stood on his tiptoes, raised his arm, and gestured a height.

"This way, you can see a broader future."

"But if it really succeeds, what will this technology be called?" Jayce ignored Duke's advice and instead eagerly asked, "If this theory is truly validated, then just as Duke said, we can cross continents in a very short time!"

"Hunting in Noxus in the morning, having tea in Demacia in the afternoon, and enjoying the aurora in Freljord in the evening won't be impossible!"

Duke clapped off the chalk dust on his hands and looked at the electromagnetic rail, "As for the name?"

"Hexgate!"

"What do you all think?"
