Ever since they started treating each other like strangers things have been less chaotic for Eva , she made friends along the way too,even with those who she always kept on forgetting his name . She would fall through with the contract terms ,go back home on needed days , attend necessary meeting with Shaun by her side as his loving wife . He would immediately act like she was an annoying pest when they got home ,she thought he would question about her recent activities instead he did not . He just went back to his study and buried himself with work, no more threats or tactics to get her nerves all wrecked up. And today was one of those days where she hung out with that scholarship guy named Kyle ,they bought pizza snd some snacks then some drinks, watched a movie in her dorm.
Right after the movie was finished and the snacks,Kyle as always left her alone and bored. Her roommate was even at home most of thd time and those times were today ,she called over the acting college bodyguards he chose for her, they both pulled through and they left her alone again . Finally deciding on taking a walk ,she did in her sweat pants and hoodie but little did she know that behind her was Shaun ,watching her every move . He was always watching whatever she did, he just didn't see the need to press on her matters cause even if he tried hard enough to make her fall inlove then she will never. Tonight he also wanted take a walk but he couldn't in his house cause people are always targeting him. Less people would target him here around his unknown wife ,so why not? The plan was to see her before he went out again but while she was asleep, he walked behind her . His eyes alert to any threat , these past few weeks have been nothing but eased between them only because he stopped being a bossy control freak with her . Ever since he chose to yield to whatever her wishes were that aligned with compassion he slowly started changing himself. It could be for better or worse jut it is worse when she let's that Hernandez boy in her dorm. He picked up on her slow habits ,whenever she is sleeping,she fists her hands .
When she's frustrated she always nibbles her bottom lip and when she's happy ,she always jumps around like a puppy. He wondered how she would react to the small tiny Maltese puppy he got for her ,she stopped on her tracks and turned around to look. He blended in with the trees and then she started walking again. Smart girl ,he complimented her in his head, he bought the puppy cause she kept on bothering his hounds , and somehow they started warming up to her.
"You don't have to do this at all. Following me around , you have guards around me already isn't it enough for you ?"she suddenly said when he thought that she wasn't aware of his presence. The puppy woke up ,he came out of the bushes, "I mean would it make sense to you if I gave you this dog out front?"he said rubbing his neck ." Very much yes . What's that ?"she asked him getting closer he put the dog on the ground and her eyes light up when she saw ut was a puppy. "Aw so cute. Is that for me ?"she asked him he shrugged. "If you want it to be . Anyways you've seen it , I have to go ."he said ready to walk away the puppy rolled on its back ,as she rubbed its belly .
"Why do you always have to be awkward."she muttered under tounge playing with the puppy as she carried it back to her dorm . He didn't leave yet, he just watched her take it to her dorm and when he watched her play with it in her room he smiled softly . Then thats when he left .
"She smiled cause of a puppy but not cause of me."he muttered under his breath and he drove back to his mansion. Where he kept on replaying the same statement over and over again. "She smiled cause of the puppy not cause of me ,why ?"he stopped pacing in his office and tilted his head looking at the door.
"Who even chose this stupid design for a door ?"he said and tapped his foot again and again until he grabbed his hair in frustration.
"Why do I want to own her smiles ?"he said softly, the butler walked in without knocking and heard his master say so . "Then own it ,sir . If you want to be the reason why she smiles ,make her smile. " he said ,"And how do I do that ? She's a hard nut to crack."
"Well find out what she likes ,then work with it. " replied Theo butler. "She would like it if I was dead ,I'm sure of that. " he said ginger back-to-back his seat and it spinned around.
Should he waste his time with measly feelings or not? Thats what was going through his head
