When they got inside the car he, he moved away from her like she was a diseased cat or dog . He didn't ask much, he just started driving them back home , she didnt want to argue that she was supposed to be in her dorm too , so she just opend her phone and scrolled through TikTok. With occasional glances by her ,clearly her lick back didnt mean anything to him , he's very secure of himself as a man. Meanwhile Shaun was trapped in his thoughts. He knew that she tried to make him jealous but he couldn't care less. Women will always will be women, hs git one now he is ready to divorce her or kill hed whatever voice he makes. But he can't help but be at ease when she giggles and smiles in of hed tik tok on her phone .
They got home ,this time he didnt even open the door for her. He just rushed back inside the house leaving her at the backseat , she didnt even know what she did wrong but isn't that disrespectful? She asked herself . She followed him to their room , and she wat hed him appear and disappear again from the closet or bathroom . Exhaustion took over ,she was sitting on the edge of his bed when sleep took over . He halted on his steps, seeing that there was no sound coming from her , he just grabbed a small blanket and wrapped it around her . He watched her sleeping form with fascination then his eyes grew cold with each passing second . He didn't like that she was able to control such little grasp of humanity or compassion he had , he wanted to break that Reed girls bones but her words of handling it normal echoed and before he knew it , he just warned Leister about his daughter . Getting up from his knees ,he left his room and went to his study where his butler immediately welcomed him . "You seem a little down sir ?"his butler said and he shrugged .
"And you seem old . " he replied making his butler chuckle, "Well I did raise you first half of your life. Trouble in paradise ?"his butler asked him and this time he shrugged ,as he sat on his study chair casually leaning on it and spun around ." I don't do such things ,besides I don't think the girl likes me enough to swear that this is trouble in paradise. " Shaun replied with his eyes closed ,his butler nodded his head ,he knew his master was off the whole room was ice cold . But he didn't question more of it, "How was dinner with Mr Reed then?"he asked , Shaun opened his eyes and starred at the ceiling. "It was like meeting my dad's favorite toy except he's mine. Or whatever , it was fun trying around here and there . Please refrain from asking me questions about useless things ."he said and his butler nodded his head ,"You're excused for the next two weeks , take your daughter out and buy your wife some gifts. "Shaun said abruptly when the butler was about to leave .
"Thank you . I will do as such , Goodnight Shaun. " his butler said in gratitude . All Shaun wanted was to be left alone in his boiling emotions, talking with Leister like that bought him back memories he didn't want to remember but they showed you regardless, and then he saw how Eva conversed and connected with Leister's wife ,which is what they both once dreamed about. Both thier beautiful women getting along while they grilled meat or holding thier daughters, but it was too late for bubbly bouncy friendship reunion. And that's what bummed him out the most, deep down he knew that if ever a bomb were to drop on him so would Eva . Why waste pouring emotions on a person who already seeks a path away from him ? But why not ? He sighed and closed his eyes again ,he slept in his study room on his chair that night. Eva couldn't care less then so should he right ?
Next morning , she woke up before him ,seeing that she was still in the red dress from yesterday she wore a shirt from his closet, not that he would notice anyways that's what she convinced herself with. Tip toeing downstairs she found no one , just bodyguards patrolling the house outside , she decided to make some toast but while doing that she looked for Shaun. In every room besides his study room , when she got to it ,she hesitantly tried knocking on the door bitting her bottom lip,she stopped and left . In the kitchen once the toaster was done she leaned hef back against the counter. Why was she even looking for him in the first place?she asked herself, she shouldn't care about him cause he doesn't care about her too ,that's what she reasoned with. Pretty soon she heard footsteps coming to the kitchen ,Shaun entered the kitchen without glancing at her at all ,he went straight to the fridge and took out some milk ,grabbing a glass nearby the counter she was in ,he poured himself a glass off milk and then he stood there watching her which she also starred back at him .
