Break time....
It was finally break. Ashton's stomach was grumbling. He was hungry. He didn't have dinner yesterday because of his injury. He couldn't answer his mom's numerous questions which might eventually drag Ryanne into a mess.
Now, here he was in class very hungry.
He didn't even have a proper breakfast before heading to school.
So pathetic!
He turned to Ryanne. His face so pitiful.
Ashton:"Ryanne"
Ryanne:" What?", she didn't look at him.
Ashton:" Ryanne"
Ryanne:" What?", she turned and looked at him. She could help but question.
Ryanne:" What's with the face."
Ashton:" I'm hungry."
Ryanne:" The cafeteria is opened. Suit yourself."
Ashton:" Nah! Everyone would be talking about my injury."
Ryanne:" Ashton, are you sure you're hungry?"
Ashton:" Yeah. I didn't have supper yesterday and breakfast today. Sat here for more than three hours now and Mr. Gates ate into half of our break time. I'm starving."
Ryanne:" What a rear sight to behold. The richest in Newzee City is actually starving. How pathetic. So so pathetic."
Ashton:" Done ridiculing me?"
Ryanne:" Here's the thing. Your wrist is injured not your legs. If I were you I'd be heading to the cafeteria. Don't worry about carrying anything. Your female fans are the best for it."
Ashton:" If I faint on my journey to the cafeteria, won't your guilty pile up?"
Ryanne thought it through. He was right. She had conscience. She hated the feeling of guilt. What buried her in the darkness for so long. She can't continue to pile more up.
Ryanne:" Alright, what do you want?
Ashton:" Milkshake and sandwich."
Ryanne:" Meet me at the stone bench."
Ashton:" I'll be there."
Immediately Ryanne left the class, Ray, Alex, and Zen rushed over.
Zen:" Ash, you got us worried yesterday."
Alex:" You got injured and you didn't want anyone to see you at the hospital. You said you'd explain why didn't let me see you at home."
Ashton:" Guys, chill. It's nothing serious, just some minor injury. I didn't want my mom to know about this. She'd get so worked up with it and like to get to the bottom of this."
Zen:" She should at least get to the bottom of this!"
Ashton:" No!"
Ray:" Why no?"
Ashton:"You don't get it! I can't get Ryanne involved!"
Ray:" Wait... You're kidding, right?"
Ashton:" No guys. She was the one who took my book. It was just to piss me off but I'm cool okay."
Zen:" Ash, this girl is dangerous. You need to end this game asap!"
Alex: " Cut the crap, Zen."
Ashton:" Zen, I and Ryanne can't just fall out like that. Besides she came to see me at the hospital, that's why I restricted anyone from getting in."
Zen:" Crap! So you forgave her just like that?!"
Ashton:" We ain't talking about forgiveness here. Anyway, I never held it against here not even for a second. She did what she had to do."
Alex:" Getting you hurt was what she had to do ?"
Ashton:" You've got it wrong. She didn't mean to hurt me, okay. She compensated me."
Ray:" Really?; She knows how to do that?!"
Ashton:" Yeah!"
Ray:" Then should I ask her to compensate me for trauma from our first meeting."
Ashton:" I object!"
Alex:" Why?"
Ashton:" She can't compensate you, okay."
Alex:" You look so worked up about Ray's demand. Is there something you're telling us?"
Ashton:" I've taken worst, than Ray. He can't be taking compensation from her."
Zen:" How much money did she compensate you with?"
Ashton:" No money. I told her I've got lots already."
Alex:" I get it. It was a kis-"
Ashton:" Don't act crappy, punk! She has to accompany me for a month."
Zen:" Accompany you? That's more like she being your girlfriend for a month!!"
Ashton:" Nice idea, right?"
ẞZen:" It's risky! She can hurt you again!"
Ashton:" Don't talk like that, Z. She only does that to piss me off."
Alex:" If she's to accompany you where is she?"
Ashton:" I told her to grab me some Milksh-"
Ashton watched his watch. He remembered she said they should meet at the stone bench."
He got up from his seat quickly. Half way heading out, he returned to pick out candies from his bag.
Ray:" What for?"
Ashton:" To soothe my angry bird. Bye!"
He raced to the stone bench.
