Ashton:" Ah! That hurts."
Bruce:" You've been severely injured, stay calm."
Ashton looked in Ryanne's direction.
Ashton:" Ryanne?"
She walked towards them.
Bruce:" You're his friend, right? Make sure he takes his meds. His injuries are severe. I leave him to you. I'd be taking my leave now."
Ryanne tried to refuse but before she could, Ashton faked a sneeze.
Bruce:" Please make sure he takes it. Bye!"
Bruce left.
There was a brief silence in the room.
Ashton:" Why are you here?"
Ryanne:" I-"
Ashton:" You came to take care of me, didn't you?"
Ryanne:" Wishful thinking! I never came here to take care of you. I came to-"
Ashton:" Okay. I didn't deliver the candy as planned. I'm sor-"
Ryanne:" Ashton! Can you stop and listen to me?"
Ashton:" Of course."
Ryanne:" Just came to say I didn't mean it. I told you to move back to your seat but you refused so I tried to make you angry so you'll move away. I exchanged your book with a blank book. I didn't expect you'll be given a cruel punishment and get injured. I didn't mean it."
Ashton:" So you're saying you're sorry?"
Ryanne:" I never said I'm sorry!"
Ashton:" Then you don't expect me to forgive you?"
Ryanne:" I do. I don't say sorry to people."
Ashton:" Okay, I get it. Then you should think of a way to compensate me."
Ryanne:" Compensate you? Alright, money."
Ashton:" I've got lots of it."
Ryanne:" That's the only thing I can offer."
Ashton:" No. Accompany me."
Ryanne:" What?!!"
Ashton:" Accompany me."
Ryanne:" For how long?*
Ashton:" A month."
Ryanne:" No!"
Ashton:" Guess it's small. The two months."
Ryanne:" I didn't ask you to raise it."
Ashton:" A month or I'd increase. Make your choice."
Ryanne:" Fine. A month would do."
Ashton:" Good girl. It's time for my meds."
Ryanne:" Help yourself."
Ashton:" But my hand's injured."
Ryanne:" None of my business."
Ashton:" The doc said you should make sure I take my meds. Obviously, it's got something to do with you."
Ryanne frowned. She walked to the trolley beside the bed and picked up the medicine. She dropped it in his hand and fetched a glass of water.
Ashton:" You don't expect me to hold that, do you?"
Ryanne:" Not really."
He placed the tablet in his mouth and opened his mouth t receive the water.
Ryanne poured the water till his mouth was overfilled and he got wet.
He jumped out of the bed looking mad.
Ashton:" Ryanne!"
Ryanne laughed.
Ryanne:" Change. Let's go home."
She stepped out the room.
Ashton quickly changed and met Ryanne at the door.
Ryanne drove him home.
When he got out of the car, he said
Ashton:" Make sure to pick me up for school tomorrow."
Ryanne:" Tell your driver."
Ashton:" My mom would suspect my injury. I don't want her to know about it."
Ryanne:" Alright. Just gotta take responsibility after all."
Ashton;" Guess you won't mess with me again. Bye!"
He walked into his house.
Ryanne sped home.

Next day
Hillside Residence
Ashton, fully dressed for school making sure he covered his bandaged wrist, rushed down to the dining table, took a slice of sandwich and was heading out in a hurry.
Before he could step out, his mom called him back.
Mom:" Ashton, where are you off to this early?"
Ashton:" School!"
Mom:" Have breakfast with me first."
Ashton:" Mom, I've eaten."
Mom:" Don't trick me with just a slice of sandwich."
Ashton:" Mom... I n-"
Ashton's phone rang. It was Ryanne.
Ryanne:" Get yourself her or I'm leaving. Giving you a second!"
Ashton:" Alright."
He hung up.
Ashton;" Mom, my friend is picking me up. See you!"
He rushed out and hopped into the front seat.
Ashton:" Hey Ryanne!"
Ryanne:" What took you so long?"
Ashton:" My mom wanted to have breakfast with me but I turned her down."
Ryanne:" Kinda lucky you met me still here."
Ashton:" Meaning?"
Ryanne:" I almost drove off."
Ashton:" My bad, I'm lucky indeed to have you take me to school.*
Ryanne stopped the car.
Ryanne:" Get out."
Ashton:" For real?"
Ryanne:" I won't repeat myself an-"
Ashton:" Fine."
He got down and she sped of.
Ashton:" She's such a joke."
A minute later she made a reverse.
Ryanne:" Get in."
Ashton:" Thought you wanted me to walk to school?"
Ryanne:" You sure know how to trash your luck."
She pretended to leave.
Ashton:" No, I'd get in."
He quickly got into the car and she drove off.
