A terrible scream tore through my throat, the pain it felt like being too close to the sun, the burning started from my eyes spread through my face then my head then the burning worked it way through the rest of my body.
I've only felt like this once,it was when i was in my soul from and the Gods were putting the core in my soul, now it felt like it was burning my body to ash and creating a new one for me.
A new one that is from what i could feel, much better, stronger than my previous self, but my body was not the only thing changing.
My core was also forming at the same time so the*******core decided that has to be upgraded too,so it started refinement on the core,I felt it growing bigger and it was taking in so much mana I felt two things.
One the Mana here was definitely not going to be enough to get me to S rank, infact if i get to A rank that would be a miracle, the second thing was my body was feeling like i was going to burst because of the amount of energy entering me, that is when i felt a presence.
At first i thought it was my grandparents but it was not, this presence was stronger, that's not totally correct it was more large , more grand. Immediately it arrived the Mana in the surrounding increase and i felt it took me in it palm and started controlling the amount at which Mana made it way into my body.
Whatever was helping me was doing a fine job, the speed at which my core was forming not only increase but became more stable, though the pain was still there i tried to manage when i heard the voice.
Sleep child, leave everything to me, for i will protect you and make sure you not only survive this but come out of this with the most powerful version that you could get.
I didn't know if my voice came out but i said thank you and slept.

Augustus saw the monster and knew this was going to be difficult, one of his greatest strengths is his speed as a lighting user, but the beast was a wolf and with the way Air was moving around it, that was most definitely it's element.
Augustus brought out his sword and called lightning from the sky to ignite both him and his sword,then he attacked with all his strength.
The attack was strong enough to push the monster back though it blocked it with its paw. Augustus stable himself as Marcus arrived at his side prepared to join the fight.
Marcus eyes were blood red and he was holding a red sword made of blood showing the reason why he is know as the blood warrior.
Even with both fighter in front of the wolf it was clear he had his eyes somewhere else and there presence was not going to deter it from his goal.
Seeing this Augustus couldn't wait to get rid of it and go check out what was in the mountain so he screamed even though his companion was beside him ATTACK.
The wolf tried to run past them but Augustus was having no of that, covered in lighting he was just as fast so he intercept the wolf and swing his sword forcing it to block, immediately it did that Marcus attack the face and nearly cut the eye.
Though he wasn't fast enough to out run the wolf he sure as hell can land strikes when the king force it to stop it movement,thus they engage in that formation.
Augustus stop the beast and Marcus inflict damage on it, this went on until all three felt it, the ancient presence and the increase in Mana on the mountain.
The beast went crazy and it started using it element and attacking indiscriminately,it wanted to get whatever was in that mountain.
But it wasn't the only one with crazy greed in it's eyes, Augustus stop holding back and started attacking with full force, Marcus too increase his tempo and even though the beast was stronger physically it started to receive more injuries than the humans.
With all the attack it was suffering it was left with only two choice,it could either risk it life and kill this humans which it wasn't sure it could achieve besides there were more strong humans ahead, so it chose option two.
It condensed Air into itself and explode it outward pushing both humans away before they could gain their bearings it turned and ran back into the forest of death.
Augustus didn't even bother to look at the beast a second time immediately he saw it running away he turned around with lightning still flowing in his body and moved towards the mountain at full speed, leaving Marcus behind.
