At the end of the forest path stood a lone figure.
A woman dressed in flowing white robes waited quietly beneath the dim moonlight. She had clearly been standing there for some time, her posture calm and unhurried.
At first glance, she appeared gentle and composed.
But that impression quickly vanished.
Her bald head and tranquil gaze carried a presence that made it immediately obvious she was not someone to take lightly.
The moment Foola saw her, she stopped walking.
Her expression changed instantly.
She could feel it.
A dangerous aura.
"Very strong," Foola said quietly.
"Yes," Yun Chen replied calmly. "At least not weaker than Odin. And more importantly… she possesses one of the Infinity Stones."
The woman standing before them was none other than the legendary Sorcerer Supreme.
Ancient One
Her appearance matched the image people knew from stories, but Yun Chen could tell that her strength was far closer to the terrifying level described in the comics.
She was not the kind of magician who relied only on tricks.
She could fight.
Still, her arrival at this moment seemed somewhat inappropriate.
"Ancient One," Yun Chen said calmly, "I've heard you're considered Earth's guardian. But right now Earth is facing a disaster. Shouldn't you be dealing with that instead of coming here?"
Earlier, Yun Chen had already sensed the massive energy released by the Space Stone.
He had not expected Loki to appear on Earth during this period.
Fate had played a strange trick.
Even more surprising was the location of the wormhole.
Originally, that battle was supposed to occur above New York.
Instead, the portal had opened over Europe.
Clearly, the course of events had already diverged dramatically.
Yet the Sorcerer Supreme had not stopped Loki.
Instead, she had come to confront him.
That made little sense.
The woman in white robes smiled gently.
"I have observed thousands of possibilities along the flow of time," she said calmly.
"In every single one of them, Loki fails."
She continued without hesitation.
"Thanos' scheme will collapse, and the Chitauri army will be buried in this war."
Foola and Carol both looked confused.
But Yun Chen suddenly laughed.
Poor Loki.
As the wielder of the Time Stone, the Ancient One could glimpse fragments of the future.
Just like the future Sorcerer Supreme would once do when searching for a path to defeat Thanos.
In that case, over fourteen million possible futures had been examined—and only one led to victory.
Now Yun Chen had just heard something almost ridiculous.
According to the Ancient One, Loki's invasion of Earth had zero chance of success.
Not even one possible outcome.
If Yun Chen had heard Loki earlier declaring he would build a new dynasty upon Earth's ruins, he probably would have laughed even harder.
What a tragic fate.
No matter how ambitious Loki was, his path had already been sealed.
Still…
That didn't explain why the Ancient One had come here.
"That alone isn't enough reason for you to seek me out personally," Yun Chen said.
The Ancient One calmly removed the hood of her robe.
"You should know," she said quietly, "that I possess the Time Stone."
"Of course."
"If I can observe Loki's fate," she continued, "then naturally I must also examine yours."
Foola's eyes narrowed instantly.
"Your Majesty," she said coldly, "allow me to eliminate her."
A trace of killing intent flashed across her icy face.
Yun Chen raised a hand to stop her.
"That won't be necessary."
He turned back toward the Ancient One.
"If you dared to look into the river of my destiny, then you must already consider me a serious threat."
"Yes," the Ancient One admitted calmly.
"I am aware of your existence and the rise of the Kryptonian Empire. I am also grateful that your people destroyed the Kree fleet."
She paused briefly before continuing.
"But your presence is even more dangerous than Loki's."
Her gaze grew solemn.
"I cannot see your future at all."
She studied Yun Chen carefully.
"It is as though you do not belong to this universe."
Yun Chen raised an eyebrow slightly.
So the Time Stone could not observe his future.
That was hardly surprising.
After all, he was not originally from this world.
To the flow of time in this universe, he was an anomaly.
And frankly, Yun Chen considered that a good thing.
No one liked the idea of someone secretly spying on their future.
"That's why you believe I'm a greater threat than Loki," Yun Chen said.
"Yes."
The Ancient One nodded.
"You are the ruler of the Kryptonian Empire. Recently you have remained on Earth and even established a base within the solar system."
Her voice remained calm, but her concern was clear.
"I do not know your true intentions."
"But I require a promise."
Her eyes met Yun Chen's directly.
"You must swear never to invade Earth."
A promise.
Before Yun Chen could respond, Carol suddenly spoke.
Her brow furrowed slightly.
"He's not going to invade Earth," she said firmly.
"But why should he promise you anything?"
Yun Chen chuckled softly.
He stepped forward.
"I don't need to promise anyone anything," he said calmly.
Then he looked directly at the Sorcerer Supreme.
"And do you really believe you could stop me?"
In the next instant, Yun Chen moved.
His figure vanished from where he stood.
Boom!!
The ground exploded beneath his step as he launched forward.
A violent shockwave tore through the forest, flattening trees behind him.
The Ancient One reacted instantly.
Her body lifted into the air, narrowly dodging Yun Chen's first punch.
But before she could fully recover—
A violent wind struck her from the side.
Yun Chen was already there.
His speed was terrifying.
He appeared beside her like a phantom.
Then his fist came crashing forward.
Boom!!
The magical shield in front of the Ancient One shattered instantly under the impact.
The raw physical force struck her body directly.
Bang!
Her figure fell from the sky like a meteor and slammed violently into the ground.
Yun Chen's steel body descended immediately after.
He canceled his flight ability midair and dropped straight into the crater.
Boom!
The ground sank dozens of meters deeper under the impact.
The Ancient One spat out a mouthful of blood.
Yun Chen's strike had nearly shattered her waist, leaving her body almost completely paralyzed.
But in the next moment—
The Time Stone blazed with light.
Time rewound.
Her injuries vanished instantly as her body returned to perfect condition.
"Infinity Stones…" she murmured.
Unfortunately—
"I have one too."
Before the Ancient One could vanish again using her magic, Yun Chen activated another power.
The Power Stone.
Gravity erupted outward.
The surrounding space trembled violently as invisible force locked onto her body.
"Trying to run?" Yun Chen said coldly.
"Let's see where you go."
The entire world seemed to tilt under the crushing gravitational pull.
The Ancient One's body was dragged violently toward him.
Her neck fell directly into Yun Chen's grasp.
His hand closed around her throat.
Then he slammed her body brutally into the ground.
