As the machine activated, the Space Stone erupted with energy. A brilliant beam of blue light shot straight into the sky, piercing through the darkness of the night.
Above Berlin, a space gate began expanding rapidly.
"What did you do, Loki?" Thor demanded.
The moment he sensed the overwhelming energy radiating from the Space Stone, Thor's expression changed. Even as a god, the power surging from the gem made him uneasy.
Loki simply spread his arms wide.
A graceful smile appeared on his face.
"Please enjoy my gift."
He raised his head toward the sky.
"Come forth, Chitauri army."
The moment his words ended, movement appeared within the massive wormhole overhead.
The Chitauri had already been waiting.
Whoosh!
Suspended warships burst out of the portal like swarms of insects descending from a hive.
The alien army poured through the wormhole in endless waves, flying downward from the sky in tight formations.
Behind them, massive whale-like war machines drifted into Earth's atmosphere. Their enormous bodies floated through the air like living creatures swimming through an ocean.
"What have you done…" Thor whispered in disbelief.
His heart sank.
Thor had already heard rumors that his brother had returned to Earth after falling into the abyss.
But he never imagined Loki would serve Thanos.
Now his brother had done something even worse.
He had opened a wormhole above Earth itself.
What kind of madness was this?
Suppressing the rage burning in his chest, Thor launched himself skyward.
Boom!
Thunder exploded across the heavens.
Lightning surrounded his body as he soared upward like a rocket. Wielding Mjolnir, Thor crashed directly into the descending Chitauri army.
The hammer swung with terrifying power.
Every strike tore through alien soldiers and shattered their flying vehicles.
Meanwhile, Loki watched from the ground with cold amusement.
"The invasion of Earth has begun," he said quietly.
He smiled as he admired the unfolding destruction.
"From these ruins, I will prove to everyone that Earth is the first step of my rule."
The wormhole above Europe was now fully open.
The enormous energy signature was detected instantly across every monitoring station on the planet.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier received the alert first.
Across Europe, military command centers erupted into chaos as governments realized a massive portal had opened in their skies—and alien forces were pouring through it.
"Alien invasion!"
Orders were issued immediately.
Within minutes, fighter squadrons were mobilized.
The first wave of jet fighters roared toward Berlin, their engines blazing as they approached the wormhole.
Missiles launched.
Boom!
Explosions erupted across the sky like blooming orange fireflowers.
Several Chitauri ships were destroyed instantly.
"The bombs are effective!"
"They're not invincible!"
Relief spread through military command centers.
At least the aliens were not technologically untouchable.
Human weapons could still destroy them.
But that relief lasted only seconds.
"There are… too many of them."
From the wormhole, countless Chitauri continued flooding into Earth's atmosphere.
Like a swarm of locusts, they engulfed the approaching fighter jets.
Within moments, the first squadron was completely overwhelmed.
Fighters exploded one after another.
Pilots died before they even had time to react.
The reports arriving at command centers became increasingly grim.
Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier arrived silently above the battlefield.

A gold-and-red armored figure streaked through the sky.
It was Iron Man.
Tony Stark
His thrusters roared as he flew straight toward the alien fleet.
Another figure followed close behind.
Dressed in a simple suit, he jumped directly from the Helicarrier into open air.
Everyone watching gasped.
The man plummeted toward the ground like someone attempting suicide.
But the moment he struck the earth—
Boom!
His body transformed instantly.
The Hulk had arrived.

Nearby, inside a Harrier fighter, two more agents exchanged determined looks.
Natasha Romanoff and Steve Rogers.
Unlike the others, they didn't have spectacular entrances.
They simply jumped from their aircraft and descended toward the battlefield.
At that moment, the earliest version of the Avengers had officially stepped onto the world stage.
Behind them, dozens of S.H.I.E.L.D. Harrier fighters continued launching from the Helicarrier and racing toward the skies above Berlin.
"Wow."
Back on the ground, Loki strolled casually through the streets while admiring the chaos above him.
But his enjoyment didn't last long.
A group of armed special forces had already surrounded the underground facility.
After all, the wormhole had been opened artificially.
Destroying the device could shut it down.
Captain America, Black Widow, and several agents rushed toward the entrance of the facility.
"Let's stop here," Loki said lightly.
At that moment, a familiar figure stepped forward.
It was Hawkeye.

"Agent Barton… you—"
"He's under control," Captain America interrupted immediately. "That scepter lets him manipulate minds. Stay away from it."
Loki burst out laughing.
"You underestimate this gem."
He lifted the Mind Scepter slightly.
"Do you have any idea how much energy is contained within it?"
Before anyone could respond, he pointed the scepter forward.
Boom!
A blinding beam of energy erupted.
The attack shot past the agents and slammed into a distant building.
The entire structure collapsed instantly.
"This—"
"Damn it! Run!"
Everyone present was stunned by the terrifying destructive power.
Even Loki blinked in surprise.
When Thanos had given him the scepter, there had been no instruction manual.
Apparently the weapon was even more powerful than he expected.
"Haha!"
Loki laughed triumphantly.
But before he could celebrate further, something strange happened.
Ripples suddenly appeared in the air around him.
Sparks of magic ignited in midair.
An oval-shaped portal opened silently nearby.
From within the glowing portal stepped a man wearing crimson robes.

At the same time, identical portals opened around Loki.
Several other crimson-robed figures emerged.
Members of the Masters of the Mystic Arts.
Only then did Loki realize something was wrong.
"Magicians?" he said suspiciously. "Who are you people?"
Even though he had grown up in Asgard, Loki had never imagined that Earth itself possessed sorcerers capable of manipulating such powerful magic.

Earlier that day, she had returned to her old house and walked through the memories of her past.
Not long after, she learned the truth.
Her parents had already passed away.
"Who would have thought," Carol said with a soft laugh, "that a female Air Force pilot would end up becoming Captain Marvel after a strange Kree radiation accident?"
Nearly thirty years had passed.
During that time, her parents had grown old and left the world.
Pretending she felt no regret would be impossible.
Carol knelt beside the grave and whispered softly for a long time.
Eventually she wiped away her tears and stood up again.
"Let's go."
Foola said nothing.
The icy beauty simply followed behind Yun Chen and Carol silently.
Perhaps because of the somber mood, none of them used their powers.
Instead, they walked quietly along the forest path.
But the night was far from peaceful.
Yun Chen had already sensed it.
His perception of energy fluctuations told him exactly what was happening on the European continent.

Someone had been waiting for them.
Yun Chen stopped walking and looked forward calmly.
"Compared to Odin's dramatic entrance earlier," he said lightly, "you've been much more patient."
"You've been waiting here quietly for quite some time."
He smiled faintly.
