The high-end serenity of the hotel suite did little to calm Zi Han's mind. She sat on the edge of her bed, the scent of Ming Ye's cologne still seemingly clinging to her skin despite having showered.
Specifically, she thought about the sequence of events in the boat, laid out in order, assessing them.
At the time, everything had seemed… ordinary on the surface. Nothing explicitly inappropriate, nothing that could be pointed at and called out without hesitation. And yet, the more she thought about it, the more it refused to settle into something harmless.
