Chapter 71 - Chapter 71: Finally Married

"Alright, alright. If you like it, I'll give it to you." Seeing how happy Nawaki was, Isamu revealed a smile like a proud older brother.

A month later, Konoha was filled with a festive atmosphere. News of Uchiha Isamu and Senju Tsunade's wedding spread throughout the village, and everyone was in high spirits.

No one was happier about their union than Konoha's higher-ups. The relationship between the Uchiha Clan and the Senju Clan had always been strained, but with the bond between these two, the village would undoubtedly grow more united.

Because of this, the wedding received extraordinary attention. Gifts poured in from all directions—even the Daimyo of the Land of Fire sent a special envoy with blessings and presents.

At this moment, Isamu's residence was packed with guests, decorated with lanterns and festive ornaments everywhere.

Sakumo Hatake, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya were all present. Even Danzō Shimura, Homura Mitokado, and Koharu Utatane had arrived. Naturally, the Hokage himself—Hiruzen Sarutobi—was also present, acting as the officiant.

In the center of the main hall, Uzumaki Mito and the Great Elder sat as the elders of the ceremony. Mito held a portrait of Hashirama Senju, while the Great Elder held one of Madara Uchiha. The scene felt oddly symbolic no matter how you looked at it.

The Daimyo's envoy even tried to compete with Hiruzen for the role of officiant, causing quite a commotion.

In short, this wedding drew attention from all sides.

After the ceremony concluded, Isamu stepped down and began greeting the guests.

"Congratulations, Isamu. I didn't bring anything special—don't blame me for just showing up to eat and drink," Sakumo said with a grin.

"What are you saying? Come, Sakumo—today's my wedding. Let's drink."

Isamu raised his cup and downed it in one go. Sakumo followed suit.

"Big Brother Isamu, congratulations! Let's have a drink too." Jiraiya and the others joined in.

After making his rounds, night had already fallen. Though slightly tipsy, Isamu still had one thing left to do.

He quietly filled a bowl with rice, added a bit of every dish, then slipped out of the house.

"Huh? Where's Big Brother Isamu going with that food? Are there beggars outside?" Jiraiya asked, confused.

No one had an answer.

---

Isamu walked to a deserted area, set the bowl down, and said calmly:

"Madara Uchiha, don't say I treated you unfairly. Your son is marrying Hashirama Senju's granddaughter today—so you should have a proper meal too."

After speaking to the empty air, he turned and left.

Moments later, a completely white figure appeared and picked up the food.

---

Deep underground, the figure arrived before a frail man connected to tubes.

"Lord Madara, look what I brought you. Your son still remembers you—even on his wedding day," the figure said cheerfully.

This figure was White Zetsu.

"Enough, Zetsu. Did you investigate what I asked?" Madara said coldly.

"Hmm? I don't remember~" Zetsu replied playfully.

"Say it now, or I'll destroy you."

"Alright, alright. The one marrying your son is Hashirama's granddaughter—and she's quite beautiful too."

"Hashirama's granddaughter…" Madara muttered, then laughed.

"He truly is my son. Knowing my grudge with Hashirama, he still marries into the Senju. The union of Senju and Uchiha… hahaha, how interesting."

Meanwhile, Zetsu eyed the food. "Are you going to eat that? If not, I will."

Madara shot him a glare.

"Just kidding! Just kidding!" Zetsu quickly placed the bowl down.

Madara began eating in silence, deep in thought.

---

Back at home, Isamu knew nothing of this.

After finishing his task, he returned directly to the bridal chamber.

Inside, he sat beside Tsunade, staring at her for a long moment.

It all felt unreal.

"What are you staring at?" Tsunade asked softly, her cheeks flushed.

Isamu gently held her hand.

"I never thought I'd actually marry you. It still feels like a dream."

"Tian—Isamu… this is real. We're married now. We're family."

"Yes. From now on, I'll protect you. No one will ever hurt you."

"Who says things like that at a time like this…" she muttered, though her voice was warm.

"Then… should we turn off the lights?" he said quietly.

"…Mm."

Her face turned even redder.

The lights went out.

And the rest… was left to imagination.

---

At the same time, elsewhere—

Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned as he read an ANBU report.

"I didn't expect tensions to rise again so soon after the war… The Ninja World is heading toward chaos again."

"Are there signs of open conflict?" he asked.

"Not yet. But friction has already begun. We should reinforce the borders immediately."

Hiruzen nodded slowly.

"…Do it. Increase manpower."
