A sphere of purple light appeared in the middle of nowhere.
The flash lit up the surrounding trees for a fraction of a second before fading, and from inside that sphere Mark and his subordinates fell to the ground as if someone had spat them out from another dimension.
Mark was the first to open his eyes, and the first thing he saw was sky.
'Are we… alive?' Mark thought as he slowly turned his head from side to side.
They were in what appeared to be a small clearing surrounded by trees on all sides, and a few meters from where he had landed, a stream crossed the terrain.
Mark slowly sat up and looked around more carefully.
Yuki was on her feet a few steps away, swaying slightly but conscious.
Rose was to his left, on her knees with both hands resting on the grass.
Alice's companions were scattered across the clearing in various positions.
And Alice was lying on the ground, completely still.
