The single word that appeared on Seren's glass lid silenced the entire Body Room.
Rowan.
The word had been written in darkened moonlight. It was not blue. It did not burn with the color of the path. It stood there with the cold, suffocating light of the Moon line. That alone felt like an answer. Seren was not being held inside a path that belonged to Rowan, but inside her own silenced vessel line.
Rowan did not move.
Elara felt his entire body being pulled toward that single word. But when the black-glass light around Rowan's ankles rose, she saw that he was stopping himself not by force, but by choice.
Beside the red bed, Kael was still looking at Darian's hand. Darian's fire continued to stir from within. The first door had not fully opened, but it was no longer closed either. Fragile hope and exhausted pain stood together on Kael's face.
Talon spoke very low. "Is it normal for one word to look this much like bad news?"
