Chapter 122 - Chapter 122: Adventure

Raiden Ei stood at the bow of the ship, appreciating the unchanging horizon and feeling the cool sea breeze, thinking about what to do next.

Hmm~ There's nothing left to do here. Little Elysia and the people from the Orphanage have chatted for quite a while; they should be finished soon!

It's time to ask her if she wants to go on an adventure on the sea with me. Although she is still young, it isn't safe to leave her at the Orphanage either, and I don't know if she has the ability to protect herself.

While contemplating, Raiden Ei walked toward where Little Elysia was.

The pirate ship wasn't considered large; rather, pirate ships that could accommodate dozens or hundreds of people were quite common on the Grand Line. Even walking slowly, it took her less than two minutes to arrive.

Seeing her surrounded by several children older than her, Raiden Ei quickly walked to Little Elysia's side. Seeing that she was fine, she asked:

"Little Elysia, how is it? Are you having fun here?"

When Little Elysia heard Raiden Ei's voice, it was as if she had seen a savior. She moved her short legs and rushed out of the circle formed by the children, throwing her arms around Raiden Ei's thigh.

She whined in a childish voice very reluctantly: "Sister Ei, where did you go? Why did it take you so long to come find me?"

Raiden Ei thought: Has it been a long time? She probably hasn't been gone for even half an hour!

She bent down, picked up Little Elysia who was hugging her leg, and said to her: "Then let's go, I'll take you for a walk."

She then said to the Orphanage Director Morby, who had been watching from the side: "I'm taking Little Elysia for a walk, Director, you go ahead with your work!"

Little Elysia poked her little head out, waved her hand, and said: "Mama Morby, I'm going to play with Sister Ei, goodbye!"

Although the Director had a conflicted expression on her face, she still nodded.

Raiden Ei then took Little Elysia to the bow. The pirates who had been knocked out on the deck had already been thrown into the sea by Doya and the others, as she had instructed.

They deserved no mercy for their acts of burning, killing, and plundering, but most pirates in this world were like this. She didn't know when this might change.

Perhaps things would only get better after killing all the rulers of this world!

As they walked, Little Elysia, who was looking around, suddenly exclaimed in surprise: "Ah! Sister Ei, where are the pirates who were lying on the deck?"

Raiden Ei replied as she walked: "Oh them? They did bad things, so I threw them into the sea."

She walked unhurriedly to the ship's railing at the bow, which was the best spot for viewing scenery and enjoying the sea breeze blowing toward them, although it was still a bit sunny.

Raiden Ei placed Little Elysia on the railing to sit. The girl wasn't afraid; her eyes were full of curiosity as she pressed on: "Why?"

Raiden Ei thought for a moment and decided to tell her about the general situation of this world, saying: "Hmm~ Let me put it this way!"

She roughly explained the World Government, the Marines, the Sea Emperors, and the vast majority of pirates in this world to Elysia.

After thinking for a moment, she took out some newspapers she had seen before from the system backpack: "This is all I know. Also, here are some major recent events that happened on the sea; you can take a look."

Little Elysia took the newspapers handed to her by Raiden Ei with her small hands, while her mind continued to process the information about this world.

As she flipped through the newspapers one by one, she discovered reports about the Raiden Ei. She looked at Raiden Ei doubtfully and asked aloud: "Sister Ei, is this you?"

Raiden Ei, who had been lost in thought, snapped back to attention. She looked at the newspaper in Little Elysia's hand and immediately understood after just one glance. She quickly explained:

"Uh, this is because I killed a Celestial Dragon a while ago, and now I'm wanted. I just told you about the nature of the Celestial Dragons, and this incident also caused an Admiral to chase me all the way."

Little Elysia seemed unconcerned and continued looking at the newspaper. She even counted the bounty amount for Raiden Ei, then showed a happy expression and said dramatically: "Wow! One billion! Sister Ei, you're amazing ♪ ♪ ♪"

Raiden Ei felt a bit helpless. That exaggerated tone made it impossible for her to discern Elysia's true thoughts. Was this the result of insufficient experience?

For now, she could only listen to whatever she said, but it wouldn't stop her from having her own thoughts.

"Hmm~ Little Elysia, what are your thoughts now? Do you want to go on an adventure on the sea with me?" Looking at Little Elysia, Raiden Ei stated her idea directly.

Little Elysia looked up from the newspaper and asked doubtfully: "Huh! Is Sister Ei leaving now?"

"Yes, the Marines and the World Government are looking for me now. I can't stay in one place for too long, or the Marines will come knocking."

"Although my current strength is decent, there are still quite a few people in the Marines and the World Government who are stronger than me.

Last time I defeated Sengoku. If someone stronger comes looking for me again, it will definitely be someone stronger than an Admiral. I want to find a place to cultivate and improve my strength first."

Raiden Ei asked again: "How about it, Little Elysia, do you want to go on an adventure on the sea with me?"

After hearing Raiden Ei's words, Little Elysia replied without thinking: "Okay! Then Sister Ei must protect me well from now on."

Raiden Ei frowned slightly, feeling that something was off. She had agreed without thinking too much, so she asked: "Aren't you going to consider it more?"

Elysia placed the newspaper she had finished reading aside, clasped her hands tightly over her chest, her eyes sparkling with longing, and said:

"Sister Ei, I have always looked forward to witnessing different scenery ♪ ♪ ♪"

"What's more, it would be with Sister Ei, that would definitely be super interesting."

Raiden Ei... She was overthinking things.

"Fine, then we'll set off after we finish dealing with things here." Raiden Ei thought for a moment. What about the Orphanage?

The Grand Line was too dangerous, but fortunately, it wasn't the most chaotic period 20 years later. The Marines still had a certain degree of control over the Grand Line, so there shouldn't be any major problems.

Raiden Ei suddenly noticed Doya's group walking toward her. The commotion they made when they arrived was quite noticeable; even Little Elysia noticed them. Both looked toward them.

She noticed that Doya's group all wore unconcealed happiness on their faces, but it was very suppressed, as if they were happy but couldn't express it.

When Doya's group reached her, she didn't speak first. She wondered if something else had happened!

Doya glanced at Raiden Ei and Elysia. Little Elysia looked up at him with innocent eyes, as if she didn't know what was going on.

Doya hesitated for a moment, looked at Raiden Ei who was nearly three heads shorter than him, and finally said: "Miss, we found this in the ship's cabin."

As he spoke, he took out a small box from his large pocket and casually opened it. Inside was a dark green fruit with strange black patterns.

Raiden Ei saw that it was a Devil Fruit and didn't show much reaction, only saying lightly: "Oh, it's a Devil Fruit."
