Raiden Ei forced Kizaru back with a single slash, then stopped lingering, her figure quickly heading in one direction.
"Oh my! What is this? Running away? That won't do, you are my mission target." Kizaru watched Raiden Ei flee in one direction, dispersed the light sword in his hand, and elementalized his body to pursue her.
This uninhabited island was not large; its diameter was less than 10 kilometers, or 10,000 meters. Otherwise, it wouldn't slightly shake from just a few stomps by a Giant Crocodile that was only a dozen meters long. The island was mostly rock, with no tall trees, only some low-lying vegetation managing to survive there.
Raiden Ei roughly calculated the distance to the seashore in her mind; it should be less than 3 kilometers. At her current speed, if nothing unexpected happened, she would reach the seaside shortly.
It was a pity that if nothing unexpected happened, something definitely would.
As she sprinted toward the shore at her fastest speed, a yellow flash pursued her from behind, moving at a speed far exceeding hers.
"Damn it!" In just two breaths, the yellow flash was already near her. "Miss, you can't leave yet! We haven't decided the victor!"
As Raiden Ei ran, hearing the voice, the demonic sword in her hand immediately responded to him, conveying a message to stay away from her.
"Swish!" A slash shot toward Kizaru, who was approaching. As if anticipating it, he shot straight up into the sky, arriving above Raiden Ei. His figure materialized from the light.
"Yata no Kagami!"
Dense light bullets, like raindrops, smashed down toward the running figure below at extreme speed.
"Phew, bad luck!" Raiden Ei activated Observation Haki upon seeing this scene. Her steps didn't stop, and the demonic sword in her hand instantly wrapped in Armament Haki. Without turning her head, she swung her blade toward the light bullets in the sky ahead.
"Swish swish swish swish!" Slashes cut toward the dense rain of light bullets ahead, and "Bang bang bang!" she severed all the light bullets blocking her path.
Raiden Ei pierced through the path cleared of light bullets. However, those light bullets would not stop just because their targets were gone; the dense projectiles bombed the ground.
"Bang bang bang bang!"
For a time, dust rose everywhere, filled with roaring sounds. The powerful attack made the island tremble slightly.
Kizaru watched the receding Raiden Ei in the air and stroked his chin: "This is truly troublesome!"
He elementalized his body, and with a "swish," a flash like a shooting star streaked across the sky at extreme speed.
Raiden Ei had only run about 1 kilometer when her Observation Haki sensed Kizaru approaching again. She gripped the demonic sword in her hand tightly, her speed undiminished, wanting to run a little farther.
Kizaru appeared next to Raiden Ei like a flash of light. "Light Speed Kick!" His glowing foot shot out rapidly.
Raiden Ei sensed the attack coming with Observation Haki. She couldn't dodge this attack, so she had no choice but to meet it head-on. Her demonic sword, wrapped in Armament Haki, swung toward Kizaru's kicking foot. "Bang!" She was directly knocked back 5 meters.
"Truly formidable! To last this long." Kizaru spoke while continuing his attack, appearing next to Raiden Ei as if teleporting, kicking her away again.
Raiden Ei could now only block his offense, trying to recover some stamina as much as possible, then break through Kizaru's obstruction. She fought while retreating toward the seashore.
"Bang bang bang bang!"
After knocking Raiden Ei back once more, Kizaru stopped attacking. The seashore was now visible. He stroked his chin: "Still not down? You are strong like a monster."
"Hoo hoo, I cannot be outdone by you." Raiden Ei gasped but still replied firmly.
"Oh, is that so? Do you think you can escape today?"
"How will I know if I don't try?"
"It's useless. The Marine warships have already arrived here; you have nowhere to run."
"Is that so? Then you Marines are putting a lot of effort into me! So what if you have warships? I just need to charge through them."
"You are a great pirate with a bounty of one billion Berries. We can't be too careful with you. I won't agree to you charging through the warships!"
"I don't need your permission. I will knock you away along with them."
As Raiden Ei's words faded, Conqueror's Haki surged out of her body once more, erupting outward in all directions with her at the center. The surrounding atmosphere instantly became oppressive.
The Conqueror's Haki swept over Kizaru, causing his sunglasses to shake slightly: "Wow, truly impressive. Your Conqueror's Haki has gotten stronger again. You really are a monstrous fellow."
The Marines aboard the two warships that had just arrived nearby were instantly overwhelmed by the sweeping Conqueror's Haki, their eyes rolled back, and they fainted.
As Conqueror's Haki wrapped around the demonic sword, black-red lightning immediately appeared in the air around Raiden Ei: "How about it? Can I break through?" She stepped forward and suddenly charged toward Kizaru.
Kizaru couldn't help but become serious. Although he could block Raiden Ei's Conquerors Haki Infusion, it was only because his strength was greater than hers.
He elementalized his body and flashed into the sky; he had no intention of engaging her in close combat. "Yata no Kagami!" Countless light bullets assaulted Raiden Ei below at extreme speed.
Raiden Ei saw Kizaru evade her, attacking her remotely from the air. This suited her perfectly. As long as she could withstand his attacks, she could pass through this area at the fastest speed.
Her steps didn't stop. Wielding the demonic sword with one hand, she swung, and "Swish!" a massive slash appeared, crushing toward the incoming light bullets at high speed.
"Bang bang bang!" The light bullets were no match for the slash; they were instantly shattered, exploding in the air. Raiden Ei pierced through them, her speed undiminished as she headed toward the shore.
"Hoo hoo, almost there."
As Raiden Ei ran, her Observation Haki suddenly sensed several lasers shooting toward her at extreme speed. She moved to dodge them: "These persistent shadows!"
"Swish swish swish swish swish!" Raiden Ei dodged several lasers instantly. Her speed slowed down slightly, but she had already reached the seashore; there was nothing to fear now.
Raiden Ei stopped at the seashore and looked at the two warships on the sea. She didn't detect any intent to attack her, so she turned to face Kizaru, who had caught up.
"Kizaru, that's all for today! I'll find you for a sword test next time." She gripped the demonic sword with both hands and unleashed a massive slash with all her might toward Kizaru.
Kizaru hadn't understood what Raiden Ei was doing when he arrived, but he saw a huge slash carrying Conquerors Haki Infusion rapidly slicing toward him.
"No need to be so polite!" His body quickly elementalized, dodging to the side.
"Now you can't stop me. I'm retreating." Raiden Ei put away her demonic sword and ran toward the sea, disappearing into the water within a few breaths.
A moment later, a flash appeared on the shore. Kizaru's Observation Haki had clearly sensed that Raiden Ei had jumped into the sea and escaped: "Ah, she got away. Isn't she a Devil Fruit User?"
