Chapter 30 - Day 2 (6)

"ORA ORA ORA!" Donan kept gathering mana in his hand and slamming it into the ground, causing a barrage of explosions that sent dirt and rocks flying everywhere.

'Has this guy gone insane?! Doesn't he realize those rocks could hit him too?!' Robert thought as he continuously rolled and dodged the flying debris.

BANG!

The bullet shot straight at Donan and hit him right in the chest!

'Got him!' Robert thought joyfully, but it didn't last long.

"Do you even know where to aim?! You ruined the Rolex my dad bought me!" Donan angrily pulled out a limited-edition Rolex watch from his chest.

"???"

Damn it, how lucky is this guy??

Click click.

His pistol was out of ammo. Robert gritted his teeth and had to reload right then.

"Don't even think about it!!!" Donan charged forward, his hand coated in mana.

Seeing the enemy about to reach him, Robert immediately regretted not bringing a knife.

...Though even if he had a knife, he probably still wouldn't be able to beat this bastard.

Just as Donan was about to touch him, a burst of flame shot between them, forcing them apart.

"Saber!" Robert breathed a sigh of relief as Saber intervened just in time.

"Master! Don't fight him hand-to-hand! Even if he's not a proper Magus, he's still a Magus!" Saber said while swinging her sword at Caster.

"Is it that bad?!"

"No! Unless he awakens the Origin, but looking at him, thankfully he's not that type."

Origin? What the hell is that now? Why do so many weird and mysterious terms keep popping up?

"Where are you looking?!" Donan charged again, trying the same move.

Robert stepped back, observing Donan's somewhat predictable fighting style.

'He could one-shot me, but luckily he's not a skilled warrior or anything.'

Calm down, Robert. You've done military service, learned martial arts, and handled many life-threatening situations.

So why should you be afraid of this bastard who only has explosive power but zero real combat experience?

Immediately, determination and resolve flashed in Robert's eyes.

Before Donan's hand could reach his face, Robert grabbed his arm and slammed him to the ground!

"UGAH!" Donan cried out in pain and surprise.

Robert followed up with a powerful kick to the temple, stunning him.

While Donan was dazed, Robert finished reloading and aimed at his body!

BANG! BANG! BANG!

All three shots hit his body... but not a single drop of blood came out.

"THE FUCK—"

Donan's hand gathered mana again and unleashed a powerful explosion.

Both Donan and Robert were blasted away. Several rocks stabbed into Robert, injuring him.

"Hahh... Motherfucker! My phone!" Donan stood up and pulled out three phones from the exact spots Robert had shot.

All three phones were perfectly fine — because they were Nokia phones!

...I will aim his head next time.

"Your goddamn luck is really annoying. Why didn't you summon a stronger Servant instead of this clown?" Robert complained.

"If you're jealous, just say it. I'm currently in a better position than you. I can use magecraft, I have more magic circuits than you, I have full health insurance, and I have a Servant who's perfectly compatible with me."

Great. This world is so fair.

"If you hand over your Servant to me, I'll take good care of her and give you the most painful death possible," Donan smirked.

"..." Robert narrowed his eyes, then glanced at his Saber.

Saber could clearly defeat Caster, but the problem was that Caster had prepared many traps to obstruct her.

...He had to do something.

The blazing sun hung directly overhead. The heat was no joke.

Sweat poured down his face as he struggled to figure out what to do...

...What time is it?

"Hey, what time is it?"

"11 o'clock. Why?" Donan asked.

"...Perfect. Thanks for telling me! SABER!"

Saber paused and turned to look at Robert.

"Use Numeral of the Saint!!"

Saber's eyes widened. She looked up at the sun.

Even though it wasn't noon yet... it was more than enough!

Immediately, her body was enveloped in golden mana that burned like raging flames around her.

Her entire body began radiating terrifying heat!

Donan flinched while Caster looked delighted.

"SABER!!!"

Robert raised his hand high. The Command Seal glowed brighter than ever.

"The primordial flame — we will keep it burning together," Robert declared.

"Flames will eventually die out, so before that happens, shine brighter than ever!" Saber raised her sword toward the sky.

"BURN EVERYTHING THAT STANDS IN OUR WAY!" Robert and Saber shouted together.

"GALATINE!!!"

A Noble Phantasm — though not Saber's true one, was activated!

In other words, a borrowed Noble Phantasm from the very figure she emulated!

Instantly, the sunlight shifted from golden to red. The temperature around them rose so high that iron bars began to melt.

Donan felt like his body was about to be roasted alive by the terrifying heat as intense as the Southeast Asian heatwave these past few days!

Water bottles in the vending machines kept exploding and fizzing.

"OH MY OH MY OH MYYYY!! THIS HEAT IS TERRIFYING, TERRIFYING AND SO EXCITING TO WATCH!!!" Caster screamed in ecstasy.

"Fuck! Get me out of here right now, Caster!!!" Donan shouted. Then he saw a sword being thrown into the air, facing the sun.

The sword then fell, caught by Saber.

"Let me give you one line, you bastard," Robert said from behind Saber, pointing at Donan.

"NTR."

"Huh?" Donan looked confused.

"It means NICE TRY RETARDDDDD!"

Saber immediately swung her sword.

...

...

...

"Ugh..."

"Oh Master~ Are you still alive? How do you feel? Fun, right? I'm having a blast!"

"...Where am I?"

"Under the sewer! Very, very far from where we were fighting."

Donan slowly sat up after hearing that.

However... something felt missing.

"Huh?"

Donan looked down at his body and his eyes widened in horror.

"Oh Master, don't be shocked. Let me explain your current condition."

"You were burned so badly that your body was almost fully cooked. I had to amputate many parts to keep you alive. Right now, your body only consists of your chest and head. Your lungs, heart, and brain are safely preserved. You're still alive thanks to me being Caster! Interesting, right?"

"Ah... Ahhhh.... AHHHHH!!"

A scream full of terror and shock echoed through the sewer.

His luck was truly extremely high — surviving that attack was incredibly lucky.

...Or extremely unlucky, since he now had to live with a body far worse than being disabled.
