Chapter 55 - Epilogue

Jay POV:

"Kaithhh babyyy, comeee!" I shouted while holding a bowl of baby food.

Kaith, our little son, was two years old now—and he was so naughty.

He was just like Keifer.

"Ateeee! I caught Kaith! He was eating ice cream!" Kerein said as he held Kaith by his collar.

"Sorry, Mama," Kaith mumbled, pouting.

And of course, my heart melted immediately.

"Okay, come here," I said.

He quickly ran toward me, and I started feeding him his baby food.

"Okay, Kerein baby, here's your lunch…" I said, serving him his food.

Mom and Dad had gone on a trip with my parents for a few days, so the house was completely in our hands.

"Wait… where is Kaira?" I asked, looking around.

"She's with Kuya Keifer," Kerein said.

I looked at Kaith.

"Kaith, where is Daddy? You were playing with him a minute ago."

"Daddy is in the garden," he said before running toward Kegain's room.

I smiled and walked toward the garden.

And there he was.

Keifer was spinning Kaira around while they both giggled.

"Yehhh, Kuyaaaa!" Kaira shouted, hugging him tightly when he finally put her down.

Keifer chuckled and kissed the top of her head.

"My little baby sister," he said before tickling her.

A smile automatically appeared on my face as I watched them.

This was the kind of family I had always dreamed of.

After a while, I told them to come inside for lunch, and I called Kegain too.

Soon, we were all sitting around the dining table, eating together, laughing and talking about random things.

It was simple.

It was chaotic.

It was loud.

But it was ours.

Years passed…

Everyone grew up.

Our little Kaith was now ten years old, and our twins, Kerein and Kaira, were fifteen.

And our little Kegain…

He had grown into a twenty-year-old young man.

Sometimes I still couldn't believe how quickly time had passed.

I looked around the room and smiled.

I was happy.

Truly, genuinely happy.

I never imagined I would have a life like this.

This beautiful life.

This family.

This love.

I looked around me.

Kerein and Kegain were teasing each other using their girlfriends' names, while Kaith laughed loudly at them.

Kaira was following Keifer around, asking for permission to go on a night out with her friends.

And, of course, Keifer was being protective.

"You can go with Kaith if you want," he said.

I shook my head and laughed.

"Keifer, she's fifteen now. And besides, I'll drop her off and pick her up. Let her go and enjoy herself."

Kaira immediately looked at me and hugged me.

"You are the best Ate in the world!" she said.

I chuckled and looked at Keifer.

"Okay, okay. But I want to see you home tomorrow before eight in the morning," he said.

Kaira nodded quickly and hugged him.

"Thank you, Kuyaa!"

She kissed his cheek.

Keifer smiled and ruffled her hair.

And then—

"Daddyyyy! Tito Kegain is telling Tita Ellina that he loves herrrrr!"

Kaith shouted as he ran toward us.

Kerein and Kaira immediately burst out laughing.

Kegain came running behind him, holding a toy gun.

"KAITH! Come back here!"

"Ahhh! Daddy, save me!"

Kaith quickly hid behind Keifer's legs.

I couldn't stop laughing.

"What happened?" I asked.

"He's revealing all my secrets!" Kegain complained.

Everyone started laughing even harder.

"I really want to see my second daughter-in-law," Mom suddenly said from the kitchen.

Kegain's face turned completely red.

"Mom!"

He immediately ran toward his room.

We all looked at each other before bursting into laughter again.

I stood there, watching my family.

My family.

The word still felt unreal sometimes.

Because once upon a time, I was just an eleven-year-old girl who had been pushed away by the people who were supposed to love her.

I remembered the loneliness.

The fear.

The nights when I wondered where my life was going.

And then…

Keifer came into my life.

A complete stranger.

Someone I never thought would become such an important part of my world.

We started as strangers.

Then we became friends.

Then we became each other's safe place.

And somehow, over all those years…

We became soulmates.

We grew up together.

We fought.

We laughed.

We cried.

We made mistakes.

We made memories.

We built a home.

And now, years later, I was standing in that very home, surrounded by the people we had created a life with.

Our children.

Our family.

Our memories.

I looked at Keifer.

He was standing in the middle of all the chaos, trying to stop Kaith from teasing Kegain again while Kaira laughed beside him.

He noticed me staring.

"What?" he asked with a small smile.

I smiled back.

"Nothing."

He walked toward me and gently wrapped an arm around my waist.

"You're thinking again, aren't you?"

I nodded.

"Just thinking about how lucky I am."

Keifer looked at me for a moment before smiling.

"No."

He gently kissed my forehead.

"How lucky we are."

I smiled and rested my head against his shoulder.

Maybe life didn't turn out the way I once imagined.

Maybe it turned out even better.

Because the little girl who once thought she had lost everything…

had found a home.

She had found a family.

She had found love.

She had found Keifer.

And most importantly…

She had found herself again.

From strangers to soulmates.

From two broken kids to a family of their own.

And from one little girl who thought she had nowhere to go…

to a woman who finally had a place she could call home.

And as I looked at my family laughing around me, I knew one thing for sure—

This was our forever.

The end. ❤️
