Jay POV:
Days passed, and our wedding day finally came...
I was so excited. I had been waiting for this day for so long...
I had always dreamed that Keifer and I would get married...
And now, today is the day.
I was in my bridal room while some makeup artists were doing my makeup. Mama and Tita came in from time to time to check on me.
I bet Keifer is really nervous right now....
Keifer POV:
I was so nervous. It's our wedding day.
"Keifer, calm down. Wear your coat," Dad said as he helped me put on my coat.
Yuri was here with me, while Aries and Percy were with their sister, Jay.
"Kuyaa, you look so handsom," Kegain said.
I smiled.
"Yehhhaaaahhh," Kerein and Karia said in their baby language.
I chuckled and kissed their heads.
"Keifer, it's time. Let's go," Yuri said.
I nodded.
A few minutes later, I was standing at the altar.
The beautiful church was decorated with white flowers, candles, and warm lights. Our family and friends filled every seat, waiting for the ceremony to begin.
My heart wouldn't stop racing.
Then...
The church doors slowly opened.
Everyone turned around.
Jay walked down the aisle with her dad.
She looked breathtaking in her white wedding gown. Her smile was soft, and her eyes sparkled with happiness.
For a moment...
Everything around me disappeared.
All I could see was her.
She looked at me and smiled.
I smiled back, feeling all my nervousness fade away.
Soon, she reached the altar.
Her dad gently placed her hand in mine.
I held it carefully.
"You're beautiful," I whispered.
Jay blushed and smiled shyly.
The priest smiled warmly before looking at us.
"Do you, Mark Keifer Watson, take Jasper Jean Marino to be your lawful wife, to love and cherish her for the rest of your life?"
"I do," I answered without any hesitation.
The priest then turned to Jay.
"And do you, Jasper Jean Marino, take Mark Keifer Watson to be your lawful husband, to love and cherish him for the rest of your life?"
"I do," Jay replied softly.
A smile spread across everyone's faces.
The rings were brought forward.
I gently took Jay's left hand.
My hands were still shaking a little.
"I love you," I whispered before carefully sliding the ring onto her finger.
Jay looked at me with teary eyes.
"I love you too," she whispered.
She then took my ring and slowly slipped it onto my finger.
The priest smiled.
"It is now time for the Filipino wedding traditions."
Our sponsors stepped forward.
They gently placed the white veil over our shoulders, symbolizing that we were now one in God's eyes.
Next, they placed the wedding cord around us in the shape of an eight, showing that our love and marriage would last forever.
After that, I received the thirteen gold coins.
I placed them carefully into Jay's hands.
"I promise to take care of you and our future family," I said softly.
Jay smiled as she held the coins.
"I'll always stand by your side," she replied.
Everyone clapped quietly.
The priest raised his hand with a smile.
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife."
My heart skipped a beat.
"You may now kiss the bride."
I looked at Jay.
She was already blushing.
I smiled before gently cupping her cheek.
"Ready?" I whispered.
She nodded shyly.
I leaned closer and placed a soft kiss on her forehead first.
Everyone chuckled.
I leaned in and gave Jay a gentle kiss on the lips.
The whole church erupted into cheers and applause.
The church bells rang as everyone stood up, smiling and clapping for us.
For the first time...
Jay wasn't just my girlfriend anymore.
She was my wife.
And I was finally her husband.
