...

Meanwhile, within the MOTHs base, the other Flame-Chasers cast strange looks at Elysia.

"Oh my, after all, this Miss Mei is such a lovely girl. Beautiful girls always attract attention!" Elysia paid no mind to the stares of the other Flame-Chasers, her eyes fixed intently on Raiden Mei's horns in the broadcast room. "Such adorable horns! If only I could touch them!"

Watching Elysia, with her unique aura, Kevin's mouth twitched. He turned his head to look at the ceiling and muttered under his breath, "Does the Honkai Beast factor Elysia fused with include a lesbian gene?"

The few Flame-Chasers standing near Kevin overheard his whisper, and their own expressions twitched in response.

...

"Next, let us tally the first of the saviors: Kevin!"

"Kevin, full name Kevin Kaslana, is the ancestor of the Kaslana family. He served as the leader of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers, the elite force of the 'MOTHs'—the United Nations' anti-Honkai organization during the First Era. Ranking 'I' with the Signet of 'Deliverance,' he was humanity's greatest protector, the person closest to the grand vision of the MOTHs, and a 'hero' recognized by all. The world firmly believed that he would eventually lead humanity to victory over the Honkai."

"Originally a transfer student at Senba High School and Dr. Mei's lover, he joined the MOTHs as a soldier simply because he refused to leave Mei's side after she was recruited. After fusing with a pig… pfft, I mean, the Emperor-class Honkai Beast—Parvati—he became humanity's strongest warrior, bearing the title of 'Deliverance' and leading the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. In the final battle, he was bested by the Herrscher of Finality. Upon returning to base, he honored Dr. Mei's final wish, taking their test-tube baby into cryosleep for 50, 000 years. He calls himself Kaslana and is the ancestor of the Kaslana family."

"He possesses the Seventh Divine Key, the Key of Destruction—An-Utu, a weapon forged from the core of the Seventh Herrscher, the Herrscher of Flames."

"As the original wielder of An-Utu, Kevin understood the mysteries hidden within the blade. To wield this sword is to walk into the jaws of death; one's heart must remain unshakeable. When the wielder discards everything, An-Utu responds to their will, unleashing the full destructive power of the Herrscher core and transforming into the grotesque greatsword known as the 'Might of An-Utu'. It is as if an avatar of the God of Destruction has descended; only the light of a dying star can rival its radiance—hence the origin of the name 'Might of An-Utu.' Only a body that has transcended mortality can withstand this boundless power of destruction."

"He was a transfer student from Europe to Senba High School in the central district. On his very first day, he met Mei and fell in love at first sight, launching a frantic pursuit that eventually—through its sheer childishness—caught her attention!"

"After the Third Eruption, while Kevin was escorting Mei to safety, they encountered operatives sent by the MOTHs, who had become interested in Mei due to her published paper on quantum mechanics. The agents invited Mei to join the MOTHs as a scientist. Unwilling to leave her, Kevin requested to join as a soldier."

"Three years later, humanity had defeated the Sixth Herrscher, and Kevin, forged by countless battles, had become an elite warrior. When the Seventh Herrscher was born, it turned Australia into a sea of fire within a single week. To counter this, Mei proposed the MANTIS project. To support her plan, Kevin volunteered as the test subject, fusing with the DNA of the Emperor-class Honkai Beast Parvati. He gained the power to control ice and snow, but his body suffered irreversible damage. Under Kevin's leadership, humanity ultimately defeated the Seventh Herrscher."

"However, because of the fusion with Parvati's genes, Kevin's skin temperature remains permanently at minus 30 degrees Celsius. Anyone who gets close to him risks frostbite, meaning he could never again happily embrace the one he loved."

"Five years later, Kevin became one of humanity's strongest warriors. Due to his unique constitution, he became the only person capable of wielding the Key of Destruction—An-Utu. With the power of An-Utu, Kevin defeated the Ninth Herrscher single-handedly. After the Eleventh Eruption, Kevin and Hua joined forces to kill the Eleventh Herrscher. Afterward, for strategic reasons, the MANTIS unit was disbanded, and Kevin remained stationed at the center."

"After the Tragedy of Binding, only thirteen MANTISs remained in the MOTHs, collectively known as the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. To the organization, they were irreplaceable assets, and thus an independent unit was deemed necessary. For various reasons, each member was granted a rank and a title known as a 'Signet,' serving as the thirteen weapons carrying the hope for civilization's survival. Kevin ranked first, holding the Signet of Deliverance."

"Shortly after, the MOTHs detected an abnormal Honkai energy reaction within Rin, Sakura's younger sister, identifying her as the Twelfth Herrscher. After Rin was imprisoned, Sakura, distrusting the MOTHs, decided to take Rin and flee. However, when Sakura arrived at the 33rd underground level where Rin was held, she found that Rin had already been executed without authorization by base personnel. In her final moments, Rin released a massive amount of airborne corrosive virus, turning the soldiers near the cell into zombies. To uphold her pride as a sister, Sakura sacrificed her own life to disrupt Rin's activity, creating an opportunity for Mei to seal the Herrscher."

"Kevin carried Sakura's body back to her hometown, only to find a wasteland of nothingness. The Herrscher had seized control of the missile silos, using nuclear weapons to completely destroy the last three remaining human cities. On the scorched earth, Kevin made a promise to all: no matter the cost, humanity would surely defeat the Honkai."

"During the final battle against the Honkai, he and seven other of humanity's strongest warriors confronted the Herrscher of Finality on the moon. However, the power of the Herrscher of Finality was beyond estimation. Mei activated the Selene twice, yet it only drained thirty percent of the Honkai energy within the Herrscher of Finality. Kevin's all-out strike forced the Herrscher of Finality to halt for twelve hours, but the Selene—the only weapon capable of harming her—had been burned out."

"The operation failed. The MOTHs initiated the Shelter Plan, sinking all shelters deep underground to evade the Herrscher's gaze. The surviving warriors retreated to Earth, entering the deep underground shelters to begin cryosleep. Upon returning to base, Kevin found that Mei had already completed the Stigmata Project and passed away peacefully. Kevin wished to follow her, but in the laboratory, he discovered an infant and a letter left by Mei. In the letter, Mei explained that the baby was a test-tube child born from their combined DNA, with genes modified so that, upon growing up, the child would have a normal body temperature. To fulfill Mei's final wish, Kevin took the infant and lay down in a sleep pod within the shelter."
