Chapter 87 - Chapter 18: The Price Of Greed

Sara stepped back and closed the office door. Outside, the employees were whispering in shock.

"How did he finish all of that in just a few seconds?" one of them muttered.

At a nearby desk, a young employee spun his pen and stared at his computer screen. He smirked, thinking to himself, *What kind of unnatural monster is he?*

Inside the room, Kael finished speaking with Vrenj and turned on the computer. In just a few moments, he scanned and completely understood every single file and document.

He lightly tapped a paperweight against the desk. As he read through the remaining files, a brilliant idea crossed his mind. *If I master coding, I can create my own AI assistant. It could guide me and summarize any document exactly the way I want.*

Alex stood up from his seat. "Alright, I have to leave now."

The others nodded. "Take care."

As Alex left the building, Drakes approached Sara. "Why don't you take a walk and check out the office floor?"

Sara raised an eyebrow but nodded. "Okay."

Sara walked out onto the main floor. Seeing her pass by, a bold employee stood up. "Excuse me, ma'am. Are you married?"

Sara gave him a freezing, cold look. She completely ignored him and walked over to the young man who was still lazily spinning his pen.

"Hey, mister," Sara said coldly. "What exactly are you doing?"

The young man smirked. He slapped a thick stack of papers onto the desk. "My work is already done."

Sara glanced at the documents. "Alright."

The boy leaned back comfortably in his chair, cracked his knuckles, and put on his earphones to listen to music.

Just then, Kael opened his cabin door and stepped out. Sara spotted him and called his name. Kael walked over to her. "What's wrong?"

The lazy employee quickly stood up. "Listen, Sir. I already finished all my work early. Since the shift isn't over yet, I'm just chilling."

Kael glanced at him with an indifferent expression, completely ignoring his excuse, and kept walking.

The employee couldn't help but call out, "By the way, Sir, why do you always wear that mask?"

Kael paused, turning his neck slightly. "None of your business."

Sara quickly followed Kael as they walked out of the company building together.

They got into the car. Kael took off his mask and leaned back against the seat, holding the project documents. He looked at Sara. "I am not a master at business. But I will do everything I possibly can."

Sara nodded gently. "I understand."

Soon, the car arrived at a luxury mall. They bypassed the shopping areas and went straight to the mall owner's private office. At the back of the office, there was a hidden, heavy door.

Kael put his mask back on and pushed the door open. Inside was a massive, ultra-luxurious living room.

The mall owner, a wealthy man named Westrio, looked up. "Why are you wearing a mask?"

Kael greeted him calmly. "Just to hide my appearance."

Westrio chuckled arrogantly. "Are you someone famous? Or are you just Adrian's child?"

Kael remained silent. Sara stood quietly just outside the doorway.

Several other powerful businessmen were already sitting inside the room. They noticed Sara standing outside and began whispering among themselves about her beauty.

Westrio looked at Kael. "Is she with you?"

"Yes," Kael replied.

Westrio waved his hand dismissively. "Then let her come inside."

Kael opened the door wider, and Sara walked in behind him.

Westrio smiled a sleazy smile. "Kael, leave the girl here tonight. After that, we will sign the project over to you."

Sara's eyes widened in shock.

Westrio continued smoothly, "That is the rule here. You have to make us happy if you want the project. Besides, she is just a secretary."

*Boom!*

Kael punched the nearest concrete wall. The heavy structure instantly shattered into tiny, dusty pieces.

"**She is my girlfriend,**" Kael growled.

The room went dead silent. Everyone stared in absolute disbelief.

A businessman from the powerful Shadow Group stepped forward, trembling. "She... she is your girlfriend?"

Kael slowly reached up and pulled off his mask.

When they saw his face, everyone gasped and stumbled backward in pure horror. One of his eyes was a glowing, mystical purple, while the other was pitch black. He looked like a terrifying creature from another world.

Westrio's face turned completely pale. "Who... what are you?"

Kael smirked coldly. "You will die."

Instantly, the arrogant billionaires fell to their knees. "We are sorry! Please spare us, Sir Kael!"

Kael took a slow, heavy step forward. The terrifying pressure radiating from him was so intense that one of the businessmen fainted on the spot.

These powerful men completely forgot their rich status. They crawled forward on the floor, grabbing Kael's legs, weeping and begging for their lives.

One of them looked up at Sara, crying out, "Please, help us! Speak to him!"

Westrio scrambled to his feet, grabbed the project contract, and signed it with shaking hands.

"Take it! We don't want any shares!" Westrio screamed, shoving the papers forward. "Just take the project! I don't care what you do with it, just please leave!"

Kael looked at Sara, then looked back at the papers. He grabbed the contract and turned toward the exit. As he walked out, he extended his hand. Sara immediately understood and handed him a fresh mask. Kael put it on, covering his monstrous eyes once again.

They walked through the crowded mall. Sara followed closely behind Kael, her heart racing. *Girl-friend?* she murmured to herself, her cheeks flushing red.

Kael stopped in front of a high-end boutique window, staring at a mannequin. "This suit looks nice."

It was a pure black suit laced with elegant gold threads.

Sara looked at the price tag. It was incredibly expensive, but well within Kael's budget. "Then you should buy it, Kael."

As they entered the store, Sara noticed a beautiful dress nearby. She picked it up and walked toward the cash counter, intending to pay for it herself.

Kael saw this. He turned to a shop assistant. "Excuse me. Please pack that dress as well."

The assistant nodded politely. "Right away, sir."

Kael walked up to the counter just as Sara was pulling out her card. He gently stopped her hand. "Wait. Let me handle it."

The cashier scanned both the luxury suit and the dress. Kael paid the bill without blinking an eye. He picked up the shopping bags, and they walked out together toward the car.

Back in the luxurious VIP room, the businessmen were still shaking in terror.

"We... we should report this to the police!" one of them stuttered, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Westrio snapped at him, "Are you insane? If the police look into us, our own dirty secrets will get us arrested too!"

The others went quiet, realizing he was right.

Westrio clenched his fists tightly, staring at the floor. "Besides... do you really think the police would ever believe us if we told them we just encountered a real monster?"

No one answered. They all knew the terrifying truth. They were completely helpless.
