— A Few Week Later, General POV —
The Number 1 Ranked God U. student was called to an abandoned warehouse by the recently excommunicated co-Captain of the Seven.
"So, Starlight, what did you bring me here for, and who are your friends?" He asked and then four humans and one Supe slowly walked out from their hiding spots.
Normally, anyone else would have been slightly irked by the obvious attempt at ambush, but to Adem, they posed no threat.
"Well. Well. Well. If it isn't the Next Homelander we have amongst ourselves today." The only man he recognized amongst the group said.
"William Butcher, you are the man who blew up Madelyn Stillwell."
"The one and only," William said, clearly proud.
Adem turned to Starlight "And you work for this psycho,"
"They work for me," the black guy said.
"Regardless, that is not why we called you here. How is school going by the way? Heard you made it to the Number 1 spot in your Sophomore year. Kudos, our very own Starlight never made it that high. Don't think she even went to your Supe Ivy League." he said, getting an eye roll from Adem.
"I don't know why you called me here, but I am not going to play your games."
*chukles* "Oh, but you will…" Butcher said as he pulled out his phone and showed Adem something that made him stumble. "Cause you see cunt, we own your pretty little ass."
— A Few Days Ago —
"The cunts name is Adam Aslan," Billy Butcher said as he gave his team a picture of Adem. They stared at the young man's face with a mixture of emotions.
"I have seen him somewhere…" Huggies mumbled
"Me too," Starlight mumbled, the face seemed familiar, but the name, not so much.
"Isn't he that brat from that Supe school" Frenchie asked with a raised eyebrow.
"That's Khan? The kid from God U.? You want him to take out Homelander?" Annie asked with widened eyes "Butcher, he is just a fucking kid."
Butcher plastered a sick smile as he looked at her "He ain't an ordinary kid. He is a Supe, the Supe. The only one who might have a chance of killing that bastard."
"I read Mallory's files on the kid." MM said with solemn expression, "He is strong, perhaps a match for Homelander, but he seems far more stable… the reason no one has gone after him or tried to forcefully recruit him is because of that. No one wants to thick him off. Butcher. If you push the kid too hard, you might be switching on the fuse that blow the back of the camel,"
"We don't have much choice left, do we? Soldier Boy is gone. Maeve is fucking in a farm somewhere. Ryan is with that bastard, and since the only two Supes we got can't even give Homelander a nosebleed, what can we do?" He said, causing everyone in the room to stare thoughtfully in silence until Frenchie broke it.
"How would we even get him on our side?"
"Every cunt has a weakness, Frenchie, and I found his" he said as he pulled out a picture from his coat's front pocket. It was of a blonde girl around Adem's age. "Her name is Cate Dunlop, his girlfriend. We get her, and we own him."
At that, everyone stared at him with wide eyes
"Butcher no… We can't- We can not abduct a girl just because you want to get to her boyfriend." Annie shouted out in anger.
"Well, how do you suggest we get him then? Ask him nicely?"
"That's not the worst idea. I am sure if we explain it to him, and show him the video, he would agree to-" she began but MM cut her off.
"He will not. Malory has been keeping an eye on him, he is way too passive." MM supplied what he knew before clarifying, "According to his psych evaluations he is not trying to be a hero because of money or fame, but to churn his boredom. He wouldn't actively risk himself unless it involves someone he cares about or the shit is truly about to hit the fan."
"Finally, someone who did their homework." Butcher said.
"Why haven't you told us about him before? We went to Russia for crying out loud, and there was someone here who could have done the job?" Huggies asked.
"I didn't know about him, at least I didn't know he was this strong. His file was updated last week," Butcher revealed,
"Updated by who?" Starlight asked,
Butcher frown at that question but gave an answer begrudgingly regardless.
"… Neuman,"
"Victoria Neuman?! And you trust anything that comes from her?" Hughie asked calmly
"I don't have much choice now, do I? Or do any of you know a way we can kill that invincible cunt?" He asked and nobody had an answer for him.
As far as they knew Soldier Boy was the only Supe in the world who could have killed Homelander, and they- as a group- fucked it up. Now if Soldier Boy ever gets loose, he would be coming after them first.
Not to mention Homelander has recently gone even more unhinged- actively entering the political scene, something no high profile Supe had done before.
"… What do we know about Cate girl?"
AN: I just finished watching Season 5… It was lackluster as far as finale's go. But at least we got a scene from the comics.
