Inside the aircraft cabin, Yue Tingfeng sat in the back, observing the three people.
"What do we do after we find Ultron?"
Wanda asked Natasha, who was seated in the front.
Natasha sat in the main seat at the front. Hearing the question, she turned her head toward Wanda.
"We gather all the members and discuss it properly."
She had already set the aircraft to autopilot.
"Don't let hatred blind you. We need to stay calm."
Vision didn't sit down; he stood quietly in the cabin.
Natasha looked at him. "I'm not driven by hatred. I'm just telling a story."
After saying that, he turned and walked away, ignoring them.
"I don't understand…"
Vision's question went unanswered.
The cabin fell silent, filled only with faint mechanical noise.
Natasha didn't want to speak—recent events had been unusual, and she preferred to remain quiet.
Wanda was much the same; she wasn't talkative by nature.
As for Yue Tingfeng, he was a new member and unfamiliar with them—besides, his thoughts were elsewhere.
The aircraft quietly arrived in San Francisco.
It landed at an unattended construction site, and the four of them disembarked.
"Can you sense it?"
Natasha asked Vision as soon as they got off.
Vision closed his eyes, focusing carefully. Ultron's presence had changed—it was mixed with many things, making it harder to detect.
Natasha adjusted the electric wrist device on her arm and checked her handgun again before looking at Yue Tingfeng.
"You don't have a weapon?"
Yue Tingfeng reached out—and a pale blue long blade appeared in his hand.
Natasha raised an eyebrow. "That's convenient."
"This way."
Vision pointed south.
Natasha gestured to the others. "Let's go. I hope this is its nest."
The three followed her.
When it came to experience, Natasha was undoubtedly the leader of this mission.
They walked in silence, with Vision guiding the latter half of the journey—only he knew Ultron's location.
"Are you sure it's here?"
Wanda looked at the building ahead—Pym Technologies—and turned to Vision.
Vision nodded. "It's inside. I can't pinpoint the exact location—you'll need to get closer."
Natasha observed the facility. There were people moving inside.
Infiltrating it wouldn't be easy.
The chances of being discovered were high.
"I have a way in."
When everyone was at a loss, Yue Tingfeng spoke up.
All three turned to him.
"But this isn't a normal entrance," he added.
Natasha noticed his stiff posture.
"Nervous?"
"Not at all. Just… my first time being a thief. A bit exciting."
His expression stiffened briefly, then returned to normal.
No one said anything more. They followed him.
Natasha casually adjusted her stance, her hands moving slightly near her waist.
The four circled around to a park behind the Pym facility.
No one was around.
The company was originally built in the suburbs, and the park was mainly used by young people for camping on weekends.
They stopped at a corner overgrown with weeds—tall enough to hide their ankles.
"Here?"
Wanda looked around. There was no path, no entrance—just trees.
"Yes. Underground."
The others looked at the ground.
Natasha frowned, hands on her hips, fingers tapping lightly.
Yue Tingfeng stepped forward, reached into the weeds, searched for a moment—
Then suddenly pulled.
A hidden door opened, covered in grass.
"How did you know this was here?"
Natasha stood by the edge, looking into the dark passage below.
Yue Tingfeng replied casually, "You don't fully understand my abilities. I found it using them."
"You have abilities like that? Lead the way."
Natasha didn't press further.
"Stay close," Yue Tingfeng said. "It's dark, and I don't know what's inside. I only detected it—I don't know the details."
They nodded.
He went down first.
Inside was a long staircase, dimly lit.
Light came faintly from above and from small lamps below.
They carefully descended.
The stairs were less than 100 meters long, sloping downward.
It took them about a minute to reach the bottom—mostly because Natasha deliberately slowed her pace behind Yue Tingfeng.
At this angle and length, they were about fifty meters underground.
That was deep.
At the bottom, a long corridor stretched ahead, dimly lit with no visible end.
"Just follow it to the end."
Yue Tingfeng motioned them forward.
Natasha stopped him. "Wait. Let me check first."
She took a metal sphere from her waist and rolled it forward.
After about ten meters, it stopped—and projected a scanning field.
Natasha tapped her arm. A thin layer of light appeared over her sleeve, displaying the scan results.
The image showed nothing—no hidden passages, no threats. Just a straight corridor.
"Let's go. It's safe—for now."
Yue Tingfeng glanced at her device, then continued forward.
The others followed.
Natasha retrieved the sphere and clipped it back to her waist.
"Can you tell me about your past?"
Yue Tingfeng paused slightly, then kept walking.
"What do you want to know?"
"What did you do before this?" Natasha asked casually.
"I worked in architectural design for a year."
"Then you must understand structures well."
"Not really. My school wasn't great, and I didn't study seriously. I mostly played games."
"Isn't college life about dating? Just playing games sounds boring."
Yue Tingfeng stopped and turned to her.
"You don't understand a man's happiness."
Then he continued walking.
Natasha was stunned.
A man's happiness? Just games? She couldn't understand it at all.
They continued forward in silence.
Since the corridor had been confirmed safe, they didn't slow down.
After about ten minutes, they reached the end.
A rusty iron door stood before them—clearly unopened for a long time.
Natasha scanned it again. Still nothing inside.
"Go ahead."
Yue Tingfeng nodded. "Step back."
They did.
His blade appeared again.
With a flash, the iron door shattered into fragments.
He stepped inside first.
The others followed.
Inside was a vast open space, the size of a football field.
It was empty, with a ceiling about seven or eight meters high.
"Do you feel it?"
Vision closed his eyes, then nodded.
"It's here. Very close."
Natasha drew her gun, scanning the area.
Wanda also looked around, alert.
Then she frowned. "Where's Yue Tingfeng?"
They looked around—but he was gone.
Bang!
The sound echoed loudly through the empty space.
Wanda was startled, nearly losing control of her powers.
Natasha turned sharply toward the source.
It was pitch black—nothing visible.
They turned back toward the entrance.
"Did we come in from there?"
Wanda asked uncertainly.
But now, more doors had appeared, sealing the entrance completely.
She couldn't even tell where they had come from anymore.
She looked to Vision for confirmation.
But Vision wasn't looking at the door.
He was staring in a fixed direction.
Wanda followed his gaze—but saw nothing in the darkness.
Natasha noticed and looked as well—but still nothing.
"Remember what I'm about to tell you—"
Before she could finish—
Click… click…
The sound grew closer.
It was within ten meters now—dangerously close.
"Puff—"
Just as they prepared to retreat—
The entire space suddenly lit up like daylight.
The blinding brightness forced both women to shut their eyes.
Otherwise, it would have damaged their vision.
"Welcome."
A voice suddenly spoke.
But Natasha and Wanda still kept their eyes closed—the light was still burning their eyes.
