Chapter 1 - Hello readers, I'm Nanashi

The pale moonlight filtered through the curtains of a small, cluttered apartment in Tokyo, resting on a leather-bound book that hadn't been there ten minutes ago. **Ai Hoshino**, the rising star of B-Komachi, the girl with the galaxy in her eyes and a lie on her lips, felt her breath hitch.

She had just finished a grueling dance rehearsal. Her muscles ached, and her mind was a whirlwind of the "meeting" she'd had a week ago at the Lalalai Theatrical Troupe. A boy named **Hikaru Kamiki**. He felt like a kindred spirit, someone who could finally teach her what "love" actually meant.

But as she flipped open the diary, the words on the page didn't just talk—they screamed.

[Date: April 2nd]

[Yo. Hello everyone. You can call me **Nanashi**. I guess I should start with the big reveal: I'm a transmigrator. Yeah, I died by accident and woke up in this world 16 years ago. Just recently, my memories of my past life and my 'cheat' finally unlocked.

You're looking at it. This diary.

I get rewards for writing in this thing, mostly for dropping spoilers. Why am I doing it? Because who wouldn't want some crazy powers? I mean, I'd love to be able to study while my eyes are closed. But while I was doing my research, I realized something crazy. This world isn't 'normal.' It's a massive jumble of anime, games, and novels I saw in my past life. You guys? You're the protagonists.

Look, I don't know who dropped me here or why the timelines are mixed up. It might feel crappy to hear you're a 'character' in some story, but for me, that's just what my memory says. Heck, maybe a higher-dimensional being with a sick sense of humor just fabricated my memories to watch the chaos unfold. Who knows?

But don't stress it. You aren't dolls. You have your own thoughts. The moment you picked up this diary, the 'plot' already broke. I'm just going to write down what I remember as neutrally as I can. Treat it as a warning, or just a way to kill time.

One heads-up: general tropes say you can't tell 'outsiders' about this diary, but holders can talk to each other. Honestly, seeing how female leads from different series interact? That's going to be hilarious.

Anyway, enough talk. Let's get to the 'flogging the dead horse' part. Or as I like to call it: the spoiler session.

I really wanted to talk about **Second miss Yukinoshita** or **Long legged Kasumigaoka-senpai**—they were huge hits where I came from—but their stories don't start for a year… so, I decided to start with someone whose life is literally on the line right now.

I'm talking about you, **Ai Hoshino**.

I really hope you're reading this. People back in my world had mixed feelings about you, but after seeing you perform here? I want you to keep being an idol. I want you to live.

You're 15. You probably just met **Hikaru Kamiki**. Whether you've started dating or just shared a look, I'm telling you: **Run. Stay away from that scumbag.**

In the original story, he is the reason you die. He's a monster who gets off on snuffing out the light of talented stars. Here's the play-by-play: you get pregnant with his kids. You think you're starting a family. But he leaks your secret to a crazy fan named **Ryosuke Sugano**. That fan shows up at your door and stabs you in the stomach. You bleed out while your kids are in the next room.

I don't know if you're pregnant yet. If you are, lock your doors. Don't tell *anyone* where you live. Ryosuke is an extremist, and Hikaru will lead him right to you like a guided missile.

If you want to survive, you need a pro. Go to Beika Town. Find a detective named **Mouri Kogoro**. But here's the trick: make sure a kid named, **Edogawa Conan**, is in the room when you tell your story. That 'brat' is the smartest person on the planet. And yeah he is also from a thriller / mystery detective manga from my previous life.

Even if you aren't pregnant yet, hire them to dig into Hikaru Kamiki's past. You'll find things that will make your skin crawl. He was used by a famous actress from Lalalai, Airi Himekawa when he was only 11, and it broke his head. Now, he only feels 'alive' when he's breaking top idols and watching them suffer. There is nothing true about the current him, he will only feel alive when he saw the top Idols or Actresses die.

I've written way too much. My hand hurts, and I've gotta go play with my cute little sister tomorrow morning. I hope the reward for this entry is something decent.

Ai, don't let the stars in your eyes go out, I really hope you believe in these words.

Untill tomorrow,

—Nanashi.]

After fully reading it, Ai sat on her vanity stool, her knuckles white as she gripped the edges of the book. The air in the room felt heavy, like it was pressing down on her lungs.

"Hikaru... a murderer?" she whispered.

Just a few days ago, she had thought his eyes were lonely, just like hers. She thought they were two broken pieces that might fit together. But this diary... it knew her age. It knew her profession. It knew a name she hadn't told anyone yet.

The mention of the pregnancy hit her like a physical blow. She wasn't pregnant—not yet—but she knew herself. She knew how much she craved a "real" family. If the diary hadn't appeared, she probably would have fallen for him. She would have chased that lie until it turned into a knife in her gut.

She looked at the names: **Mouri Kogoro. Beika Town. Edogawa Conan.**

"A detective..."

Ai stood up, her legs feeling like jelly. She walked over to her window and looked out at the Tokyo skyline. Millions of lights, millions of people, and according to "Nanashi," many of them were "protagonists."

Was her life really just a rigid plotline? Was she "meant" to die for the sake of a story?

A spark of defiance, something sharper than her usual idol persona, flared up in her chest. If this Nanashi was right, then the person who sent this diary was her only ally.

"I don't want to die," she muttered, her voice trembling but gaining strength. "And I don't want to be a doll."

She grabbed her hoodie and a cap, masking the famous face that graced a thousand billboards. She didn't know who Nanashi was, and she didn't know if she could trust a magical book, but she knew one thing for certain: she wasn't going to meet Hikaru Kamiki ever again.

She had a detective to find. And if a "brat" named Conan was as smart as the diary claimed, maybe she wouldn't have to face this nightmare alone.

"Thanks for the spoiler, Nanashi," she whispered to the empty room.
