Rena's PoV
I'm sure Rhys had a million questions. Those elegant brows were knitted together as she stared down at me.
"Rena, this isn't cat and mouse. We are married, and I just introduced you to my Pack's Elders. I think I deserve to know what I'm dealing with here."
The thought of explaining that I had been silly enough to think I was married to Jason for five years seemed less scary than getting Rhys angry.
Although in hindsight, I'm glad the marriage never happened.
Being married to Jason would have been a death trap. I was glad now that I kept a lot of my other affairs away from him.
"You know what you are dealing with. I'm good at research, and I'm searching for my daughter. There's nothing else about me beyond that."
Okay, that was a lie, but I had no reason to lay everything on the table because of a two-year contract.
