Chapter 33 - Chapter 32: First part of the plan

"My name is Golden Darkness, and I have been in this world for two years.

At first I was confused, so I just kept walking aimlessly, trying to find somewhere to go, while killing those who tried to kill me along the way.

After gathering information I discovered that I was on another distant planet and that the technology of this world is far too underdeveloped to allow space travel, so I had no way to escape.

Since I could not escape, I decided to gather information about the situation in the area, it was not difficult.

You already know that four races are fighting, so I will simply go to the part that is useful to you.

According to what I investigated, the most powerful beings and the greatest threat in this entire war are the red dragon Ddraig and the white dragon Albion. The two of them together are already stronger than all the other factions in the war combined.

Fortunately for the others, they have no interest in joining forces with each other, in fact they have a rivalry and only want to kill one another, ignoring the entire war around them.

So the dragons do not have armies. There are only Ddraig, Albion, and a few other dragons who simply followed the first two for no particular reason.

I suppose that if you killed all the dragons who are not Ddraig or Albion it would count as killing their high level army.

Something similar happens with the fallen angels.

They are so weak that, leaving their leader aside, everyone else counts as their high level army. After all, for a truly powerful angel to become fallen is difficult.

Probably the only dangerous thing about their faction is the intelligence of their leader, Azazel. But he is still quite weak and it would not be difficult for me to match him if you want, although dealing with all the fallen would be annoying.

The angels, on the other hand, meet the conditions you want.

They have a supreme leader called God and many other heavy hitters. I think the armies under the command of those heavy hitters would count as the high level armies you are looking for.

But I do not recommend it, as far as I know God seems to have a certain degree of omniscience and omnipotence within his faction. I do not think it is complete, but rather an ability, even so it is dangerous, because if we attack someone too important he will find out immediately.

Finally, the demons, I think they are the easiest target that meets your conditions.

They have the same hierarchical structure as the angels, just weaker.

I heard that the supreme leader of the demons, Lucifer, used to be an angel but rebelled. I do not know why, instead of becoming fallen like the others, he transformed into a new race, nor how he expects to defeat the same being who created him and can destroy him easily.

But God has not killed him yet for some reason. I heard he was his favorite, so perhaps we are facing a family drama of planetary proportions.

The point is that since the supreme leader of the demons is weaker than the one of the angels, his subordinates are as well.

His three direct subordinates, the most powerful ones, are Beelzebub, Leviathan, and Asmodeus.

They, just like the angels, each have their own personal armies. I suspect Lucifer copied it from his father.

Unlike God, Lucifer does not have any superpowered omniscience ability, so dealing with these armies is easier.

Not only that, demons have a fatal weakness, sacred energy. Simply using it is enough for even the most powerful demons to drop an entire level in strength, while the weaker ones die instantly.

Lastly, recently the leaders of all the factions have not been seen. It is rumored that they joined forces behind the scenes seeking to get rid of the two dragons that keep destroying their territory. After all, although the factions fighting here are among the most powerful, they are not the only ones, if they continue fighting and suffering casualties they will end up benefiting the other factions that are not participating in the war.

A situation that benefits us, since the leaders will not be there, most likely only their seconds in command will be present.

Any questions?"

"No" Yuuji replied, somewhat surprised.

"Wow, you seemed much quieter" Lala exclaimed, equally surprised but without hiding her thoughts.

"I speak when it is necessary" Golden Darkness replied dryly, making Lala feel a little embarrassed, not knowing what to say.

"Good. By the way, how did you become part of the human faction?" Yuuji interrupted the awkward atmosphere.

"That?" Golden Darkness thought about it for a second, somewhat surprised that Yuuji knew about that. "I do not like injustice, so I killed everyone I saw committing it. It turns out they were all from other factions attacking humans indiscriminately, which made them mistake me for a human since it was the only race I never killed, at least not to the same extent" Golden Darkness explained, correcting herself at the end.

"Good, it does not seem too difficult" Yuuji murmured. "If Lucifer and his three subordinates each have an army then they have four armies that count as high level, but taking down just one is enough, according to you which one would be easier to deal with?"

"Leviathan's army is the easiest" Golden Darkness replied immediately and with some disdain as if the answer were obvious. "Her second in command is a complete idiot who only fights without thinking and uses large magical attacks that take time to charge. She is the easiest type of enemy to fight against, although I cannot defeat her, I can hold her back for quite a while."

"That girl, is she a girl with straight black hair and long twin tails?" Yuuji asked, recognizing the description too accurately.

"Do you know her?" Golden Darkness nodded.

"Only by name" Yuuji replied.

"So... can you modify this so it uses sacred energy?" Yuuji asked, taking out The Tower, which had already finished its cooldown, and handing it to Lala.

"Mmm? Yes, of course. Although I will need some of that sacred energy. Do you know where I can get it?" After checking the card and somehow understanding it, Lala nodded confidently before asking Golden Darkness a question.

"There is a camp of the angel faction nearby. How do you want to obtain it?" she replied.

"It is enough if they use it" Lala said with the simplicity of someone mentioning something ordinary.

"That is easy" Golden Darkness said with a smile.

...

In a nearby village, hundreds of angels moved around the place carrying out their daily tasks.

The war had lasted so long that they had already gotten used to it, developing a routine similar to the one before the war, only now on Earth.

They lived in a way similar to humans, doing the necessary tasks to maintain the camp at specific times and then spending the rest of their time with friends, family, or resting, waiting for the next time they had to go out and fight.

And that day came quite quickly.

While they were in their homes, calm, passing the time, a column of light shot toward the sky, piercing through the clouds.

Immediately everyone felt the energy and recognized the signal, leaving their homes at once and searching for the target to attack.

"Enemies!"

"Come on, move!"

"Who would dare attack our camp directly?!"

While everyone rushed out excited, eager to finish off their enemies, one quieter angel asked in a low voice, his voice full of doubt and a little fear.

"We are close to her territory, do you think..."

His companion gave him a quick hit on the back of the head to snap him out of his fantasies. "Stop saying nonsense, she is just a rumor."

"It is Golden Darkness! Use the established strategy!" shouted a four winged angel, one of the most powerful in the camp, since there were only five of that level in the entire place.

"W-was she not a myth?" said the angel who had just hit his companion, fear in his voice.

But even though he began to doubt and his companion already wanted to run away, neither of them had the chance.

Even if Golden Darkness is a source of fear for the lower ranks, she is a target for the higher ranks, because capturing her would bring many merits and praise from the others.

"Quick! Attack!" said the four winged angel with eyes shining with greed when he saw those golden strands moving toward them.

The strategy against Golden Darkness is quite simple.

It is known that despite being incredibly strong and fast, she is actually not very physically durable. Unfortunately, normally before any attack strong enough to kill her finishes charging, the caster would already have been pierced or decapitated by her hair, making it impossible to capture her in the two years since she appeared on the battlefield.

Thus the strategy against her was simple, use weak and fast attacks in groups, so that the quantity at least delays her and allows some to charge stronger attacks to damage her.

With the four winged angels desperately seeking merit in a war nearing its end and the two winged angels not wanting to die, everyone followed the strategy.

The entire village lit up like a massive beacon in the middle of the wasteland when hundreds of angels rose into the air at the same time and used their fastest sacred attacks.

With so many attacks lighting up the place and mixing together, it became impossible for anyone to see the enemy and know whether they had succeeded.

But they did not care. Everyone kept launching their attacks again and again, no longer even aiming, destroying the village and the homes they had lived in just minutes earlier.

According to the information, Golden Darkness cannot fly, so as long as they destroyed the entire ground, even if she did not die she would at least be injured.

That is what most of them thought while they continued attacking without stopping.

Everyone kept launching sacred energy attacks, lighting up the entire area and kilometers around it, while three of the five four winged angels charged more powerful attacks.

But despite their greater strength and greedy goals, none of them were truly confident. As four winged angels with high positions, they had much more to lose than the others. The three kept looking around constantly, unable to concentrate, believing that at any moment, just as the rumors said, their heads would separate from their bodies before they could even notice.

...

After ten full minutes of continuous attacks, despite only using simple attacks, the weakest angels, the two winged ones, were already starting to run out of mana.

Their attacks were becoming weaker and less frequent, causing the once luminous battlefield to clear and finally allowing them to see everything.

But what they saw left them all extremely confused, even forgetting to keep attacking for a moment.

Although they expected to find the terrain in ruins with not a single house still standing, some had even begun lamenting the loss of their belongings, what they found was the village in the exact same state as when they had left it minutes earlier.

The three four winged angels who had charged rather powerful attacks, expecting to see a weakened Golden Darkness when their vision cleared so they could launch them and claim all the honor, began to sweat coldly.

"What happened?"

"How is everything still standing?"

"It must be an illusion."

The murmurs began immediately, but stopped even faster when, in one corner of the village, they felt an enormous amount of sacred energy, comparable to the attack of a six winged archangel or perhaps even stronger.

"What is... kughh!"

The four winged angel who had been sweating coldly a second earlier saw his end exactly as he had feared. Without even realizing it, his body had been pierced from behind by a metal stake that destroyed his heart.

His wings folded immediately and his body lost all strength, the only thing still holding him in the air was the very weapon that had killed him, like a puppet.

"Afrel!"

The other two four winged angels, with their attacks already prepared, saw their companion's body and then the golden girl holding him with her hair, and launched their attacks in her direction without hesitation.

Since they were explosive attacks, both detonated them in the air, making sure she could not escape by dodging.
