Landon Hawthorne had just managed to pull Caden Sterling back when he happened to glance over and see that Shelly Sterling, who was talking to Aria, had become incredibly transparent.
Like a wisp of smoke, she looked as if she could scatter at any moment.
"Caden, look over there..." Landon pointed in Shelly Sterling's direction.
Caden Sterling saw the anomaly as well. Forgetting his anger, he hurried over.
"Auntie?" Caden Sterling called out.
Hearing his voice, Shelly Sterling looked over and smiled. "It's Caden, right? The last time I saw you, you were only about this tall."
Shelly Sterling was in a very peaceful state of mind.
She and Aria had spoken a great deal, but she hadn't mentioned a single word about her painful memories.
She also asked Aria about her life's experiences, and Aria told her everything, making Shelly nervous on several occasions as she listened.
