Officer Scott, unconvinced, questioned a few more people, only to find them all looking serious and earnest, their accounts identical to what he'd heard before.
Afterward, he went to see Caden Sterling.
"Officer Scott, you're back?" Caden Sterling asked. "Did you find any useful clues? Is there enough to convict those two from the Jennings family?"
