Lianne was surprised. She asked, "Ethan, what are you doing here?"
Ethan Sinclair's face was half-drenched in shadow, making his eyes appear even deeper. "Just passing by."
His gaze swept past her. Sophie Sheridan was the only one there. "Going back to Ivyclimb Road?"
The phone in Lianne's purse wouldn't stop vibrating. She apologized to Ethan Sinclair, took it out, and saw it was a call from Sandra Shaw.
"No. Ethan, I need to take this call."
Hearing this, Ethan Sinclair gave a slow nod.
Sandra Shaw's voice was devoid of emotion, her tone respectful. "Miss Lane, that is not Mr. Sinclair's car. Do you require a ride back?"
Lianne glanced at Ethan Sinclair. 'It *is* a Mr. Sinclair's car,' she thought, 'just not *that* Mr. Sinclair. It's the *other* Mr. Sinclair.'
"Seth is almost here. I'll just get a ride back with him," Lianne told Sandra Shaw.
Since she didn't need a ride, there was nothing more to say. The two hung up.
