Brooke Morrison heard a car engine and thought Carson Holden was back. When she went downstairs and saw it was Jensen Morrison, she looked a little disappointed.
"What are you doing back so late at night?"
"Mom, are you sure I'm your biological son?" Jensen Morrison kicked off his shoes, tossed his car keys onto the entryway table, and walked inside.
"Put on your slippers! What are you thinking, walking around barefoot?" Brooke Morrison grabbed a pair of slippers and chased after him. "Are you hungry? There are some late-night snacks in the kitchen if you want something."
"I already ate. I'm exhausted. We can work on our mother-son bonding tomorrow." Jensen Morrison gave his mom a hug and went upstairs to sleep.
The next morning, Brooke Morrison personally cooked breakfast.
When Jensen Morrison came downstairs, Ivy Holden was already at the dining table, scrolling through her phone. The table was laden with all sorts of breakfast foods, both Chinese and Western style.
