She knew she hadn't done enough to protect their baby yesterday, but hearing Damian Xavier say it out loud still made her inexplicably furious.
"If you're only concerned about me for the baby's sake, Mr. Xavier, then don't bother. I can take care of him just fine without you," Aria Sterling scoffed, her words sharp. She didn't want to be entangled with Damian Xavier because of the child.
"Is this what you call taking care of him? You're pregnant now; a lot of things are dangerous for you. You can't be so reckless anymore. If you can't take care of yourself, then come back to the Xavier Family with me, and I'll take care of you myself!"
A flicker of irritation crossed Damian Xavier's eyes as he spoke, his tone forceful and hard.
"I don't need your care."
Aria Sterling refused flatly, her tone icy.
